"Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Why does Walmart.con still say the game comes out on December 13! They gotta start shipping them and update the website.
They also have Xenoverse 2 coming out on January 1 even tough i see is in there. It says the Day 1 version came out correctly. We can still pre-order XV2 then!

Wow, that's a translation error for sure. The question should be who beat Mr. Satandbzfan7 wrote:Why are the quiz's so messed up? It seems like they have the wrong answers as right. Why is Rice the right answer for Bruits waves/Blutz waves or I think Zeno's in english? Why is Trunks listed as the person Mr. Satan beat, when it was 18 who he beat? Unless you count Mighty Mask I guess as Trunks....who really 18 beat.
By the way, what were the other options for the Bruits waves?

I can check again tomorrow when I can do quiz's. They're once per day.alakazam^ wrote:Wow, that's a translation error for sure. Huh. I was wondering what Energy Burst was, when I ended up getting it from the daily bonus. It's a really neat original attack, although the animation could have more impact.

Sesamy is being such a pain to drop the Super Saiyan Skill. It's taking forever.

You have to defeat him by ring out with a character that can learn that skill, in case you didn't know.
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Thanks for that! I never connected two and two together. I figured it was character dependent, but I didn't gather it had to be in their list of teachable skills. I blame this on the fact I always acquired skills nobody can learn, leading to my conclusion that you can steal them whenever you wished.alakazam^ wrote:You have to defeat him by ring out with a character that can learn that skill, in case you didn't know.

I have a character that can. I'm level 100. Do I have to defuse to learn it?alakazam^ wrote:You have to defeat him by ring out with a character that can learn that skill, in case you didn't know.

No, if you can learn it, you just need to ring him out. I'm afraid it's all about chance now.
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Are you sure? I've tried both fused, and non fused. On my list of skills, Super Saiyan is highlighted since that is a level 88 skill. Does it matter who rings him out? I've done it in several ways. I thought maybe I couldn't learn it cause I was fused with someone.alakazam^ wrote:No, if you can learn it, you just need to ring him out. I'm afraid it's all about chance now.
Also it appears even if you ring em out, if no icon appears above your characters head, then there's no skill obtained. But sometimes even with that mark, I don't get one of his moves. His moves usually I get are Hyper Tornado or Beast something....Super Saiyan is such a pain to get.

I had a strange turn some time ago. My opponent rushed one of my characters and failed to connect thanks to my defense. Instead of taking reduced damage, my defending character's turn was activated with an assisted strike and we all lost our turn instead of just the aggressor. For reference, the two characters weren't scheduled next at all. My player avatar was supposed to go after that exchange. I don't know if that's normal, in specific rotations, but it's a departure from usual procedure.
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
From what I've read, and supposedly it was on Fusions guide, to learn a specific skill, you need the character who can learn it to KO the character who has it by ringout and then the game randomly chooses between yours and his current skill set. I'd think a fused character doing it wouldn't make a difference since you can still learn it, you just have a bigger pool to choose from.dbzfan7 wrote:Are you sure? Granted, this doesn't answer why you learn skills when your characters can't learn any of the enemies', which would indicate that any skill would drop anyway, not depending on who knocks them out but I can't answer that. Another way to "easily" do it is if you've recruited a character that already has the Super Saiyan skill, you put him in your team and just beat some enemies around until the game makes you learn it over and over.
You're right, you only learn a skill when the "!" icon appears and I think the likelihood of that happening increases with the damage inflicted.
I'm not sure I understood what happened... your avatar was supposed to go after the enemy but the enemy attacked another of your characters, who defended, and then that character attacked him, is thar right? Maybe that character had some passive skill that enabled him to do that, or some status.Nejishiki wrote:I had a strange turn some time ago. Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Well I can finally confirm I did it....it just took hours upon hours of trying. It's a really powerful skill, but somewhat of a time waste. If you can get the move off, your damage will sky rocket to absurdity. Looking to get Speed Shout I think it was called to remedy some problems with bringing it out. It's damage is so ludicrous, and Pinich's skills were already super absurdly powerful.alakazam^ wrote:From what I've read, and supposedly it was on Fusions guide, to learn a specific skill, you need the character who can learn it to KO the character who has it by ringout and then the game randomly chooses between yours and his current skill set. Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
I had to fix the time on my DS and when I started up Fusions, I got a message from Jaco saying messing with time was a crime. He let me off with a warning, but apparently I might not be able to get adventure bonuses right away.
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

Just found out that the English version of this game has some dumbass censorship as they changed the swords to wooden sticks;

This is insane I mean every other Dragon Ball game hasn't been censored in such a pointless way (pun somewhat intended).
Not even 4Kids took away swords completely in their censorship insanity.
I think I'll give this game a pass, I can't support this stupidity.

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
I hope a europe version doesn't censor the swords.. Americans censors everyhing.
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
The blatantly misplaced and mind-bogglingly stupid sword censorship has me pretty perturbed too. The game was already on my back burner for now in favor of Pokémon, but my incentive to play it is even more hurt now. It was even given a T for Teen rating, for Dende's sake, and yet somehow cartoony, non-bloody sword use is no good? If I hadn't already bought the game, this very well may have kept me from doing so.
As someone in the YouTube comments pointed out... even friggin' 4Kids let Zoro keep his swords.
It's ridiculous. I hope Bandai-Namco or whoever was responsible quickly realizes this was a mistake, and the swords get fixed as part of the eventual big update patch.

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
I'll try to re-explain: [MISC2---MISC1---PA---EC] Using that bracket for reference, EC attacked one of my MISC team members with a melee attack. I successfully defended. Immediately afterwards, MISC1 activated one of their special skills, backed up by MISC2, and all three lost their turn, instead of just EC. What would normally become my turn, with MISC1 & MISC2 supporting my next attack, shifted into something really bizarre. It's not one of my skills, to say the least. It hasn't repeated at the time of this writing.alakazam^ wrote:I'm not sure I understood what happened... your avatar was supposed to go after the enemy but the enemy attacked another of your characters, who defended, and then that character attacked him, is thar right?
