What kind of love interest do you think Goten would eventually have?

Lately, I've been wondering what kind of girl Goten would go for, or even what kind of girl would go for Goten in Super or somewhere down the line.

For this discussion, I'm sort of excluding the ideas of Marron, Bra, and even Palace (his only girlfriend we've seen him have on-screen).

Basically, I'd like to hear your thoughts on a totally new character for the series as a love interest for Goten.

He's far too young right now so we can't really say. He's extremely naive like his dad and that is likely to not change, but maybe a girl that is demanding like Chi-Chi was. Opposites do attract, and I think Goten's naivety and gullibleness would be compatible to someone else's personality that revolves around control and strictness.

If he's anything like his GT counterpart he'll probably have all kinds of girls but his GT counterpart and in Z when he acts just like Kid Goku, is drastically different.

Kid Mai. I want an entire Arc centered around the fallout of Goten and Kid Trunks. Kidding.

I imagine someone like Chi-Chi as well. Goku went for the strict type....Gohan who isn't as naive and a bit "softer" went for the opposite type. So I could see Goten going after his fathers type.

I'm not sure how we can answer this question. Goten's personality is so paper thin, that you really can't draw to a conclusion, what he like or loves on even platonic level beyond his family and Trunks, and so it would be nearly impossible to have any kind of interpretation of what kind of girl Goten would eventually hook up with.

I like GT Goten though. Even though, like, what does he do? Just live at home?

Anyway, I agree with Lord Beerus above: There aren't many traits child Goten possesses that help predict his personality as an adult. Everything about him seems tied to the naïveté and shyness of youth.

Which I guess is why I still like his GT characterization. It's like, "Hey! Personality traits that aren't just 'child, slightly meeker than Trunks.'"

Wow, I haven't even given my own opinion on the subject yet, and I created the thread...

Well anyways, I'd have to say that in the event that Goten does get a love interest, I'd actually like for her to sort of "break the mold" that his dad and his brother set in that their love interests were/are, for lack of a better word, "abrasive". I'd like for Goten's love interest to be quite optimistic, adventurous, and somewhat perky. Goten would be VERY weirded out by this at first, but he'd come to get used to it. Sort of like Stephanie Brown in DC Comics' Batman/Robin series.

Does anyone think Goten's love interest (whoever she may be) will show up in Super by the time it reaches EoZ? I mean, Goten himself says that he had a date lined up during DBZ's Peaceful World mini-arc, but Goku made him cancel once the 28th annual WMAT was just around the corner.

Well, I could think something more, in the great realm of "what if".
He get a love affair with ... the galactic Princess. Daughter of the Galactic King, she join the Space Patrol to show his father she's able to rule a galaxy. Very cute (but dramatically dumb), she suffer of Don Quixotte complex: she see dangers into normal stuff. She love cats, sleeping, pink stuff and bishonen.
That girl put himself and Goten (and Jaco) in very dangerous situations, but after all it's very tender and cute with him... maybe too much, and that's why Goten at first avoid her with all of his strenght.
And, to complicate again the story, indeed this time ChiChi PROMOTE the relationship.
