How would you handle a teenage/older Pan?
How would you handle a teenage/older Pan?
Since a lot of people don't like GT Pan, if Pan is aged up in Super how would you write her? What should her personality be like?

Re: How would you handle a teenage/older Pan?
They should keep her obnoxious attitude but make it be out of deep resentment towards Goku for "abandoning" the family for Oob instead of her just being a spoiled brat. It would've been infinitely more compelling and lead to loads more character development not just for Pan but Goku and Oob as well.
I also would take out the loli fetish bullshit.

I'd make her just like cell saga Gohan but instead of neglecting her training/fighting, she actually prefers it over studying.

Make her like Gintama's Kagura, a young strong girl who can be funny and badass.

Re: How would you handle a teenage/older Pan?
The Gohan cell games personality would suit her best..
Calm and kind hearted, but really emotional..
She would turn out to be a great character with that personality
Instead of being the disgrace to her race she was in gt.. I am sure I didn't need to mention why, it's been said numerous times by others, she is pretty hated in general.
Her gt persona does nearly reach the very bottom of my loathing scale and would be at the bottom if not for an other series character, Louise from zero no tsukaima.. that character has serious issues

She would just turn into another Goku clone. I'd much rather have a character that manages to properly balance work and play (fighting, training, saving the world etc.).swimtrunks wrote:I'd make her just like cell saga Gohan but instead of neglecting her training/fighting, she actually prefers it over studying.

Make her a playful happy go lucky girl that trains in Martial Arts but not because of battle lust but because he wants to spent time with her grandpas (Goku and Mark)
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.
Re: How would you handle a teenage/older Pan?
I'd say give her a mix of Videl and Goku's personality. She loves fighting, but doesn't lust for it. She's playful, arrogant and rather aggressive, but well meaning in the end. And someone who sets out to prove herself as a fighter, making her get knocked around a lot son that other characters can offer her guidance. And throw in her really looking up to Goku.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

Re: How would you handle a teenage/older Pan?
Super doesn't imply at all that she would even be into fighting at all considering how her parents pamper her and she is always made to live happy. As for her personality I think her GT character was most accurate to the combination of influences her lineage has. In GT I was fine with the fact that she was a feminine tomboy, and somewhat bratty because those would be the traits she would be developing on. She did fight in Mr. Satan's dojo in her spare time or when pissed off, but socialized and liked boys in her peaceful life but developed her moral compass from her experiences in Space and the Baby arc. I don't see how she'd be any different than that.
Most of her revisions I see seem to make her either act like Goku or Goten which I don't want. Though If we really had to hypothetically change her up, why not make her like Kid Chi Chi or Videl? That would be new. Her whimsically looking up to Mr. Satan and the Great Saiyaman would make the most sense seeing as they would be the pop-culture she would be around the most. It would be funny if she worshiped Mr. Satan while everyone remained tongue and cheek about it.
As for what I guess I'd want her to be? Design wise I think she should probably want her look like Note in Dragonball heroes. (Considering most out-of-the-loop reactions thought she actually was pan when they saw her)

If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

Personally, I'd make her a bit of a mix both Goku and Videl's personalities, with a bit of Gohan thrown in for good measure.Neo-Makaiōshin wrote:Make her a playful happy go lucky girl that trains in Martial Arts but not because of battle lust but because he wants to spent time with her grandpas (Goku and Mark)
In many aspects, Pan would be very outgoing, respectful, and head-strong in personality, as she is most of the time happy, energetic, cheerful, positive, hard-working and focused in combat. She has a noble spirit and a very determined attitude, either in studies or in martial arts training. She would see Goku as an idol and teacher, since she always watches him fight and mirrors herself on his philosophies in battle. From her dad, she would gain his laid-back demeanor, and unbeknownst to most characters, she'd be unusually intelligent for her age. Nowhere NEAR her dad's IQ, but it would certainly be nothing short of impressive. She'd probably try to hide this in event that she'd be branded a nerd at school.
Despite it all, Pan does NOT have her grandfather's "battle-crazy" mindset, although she won't necessarily turn down an opportunity to challenge herself, and all the while, it would give Pan the chance to spend time with her grandfather.
Following Goku and Uub's departure, she would hold a grudge against the both of them for quite awhile, but eventually she would get over it, and accept that her grandfather isn't exactly the type to get tied down so easily, and that the thrill of battle in his blood. Also, as a way to differentiate her from Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and (possibly) Bra, she'd be the first Saiyan since Goku and Vegeta who would find battle to be a bit more fun that settling down. She'd still hang with her friends and go to school obviously, but she'd actually keep up with her training unlike the other Saiyan hybrids in the series, and it would REALLY pay off in the end.
Desgin-wise, I'd want her to look like THIS at first:

and later on, grow into THIS:

I'd keep Pan around as Goku's successor, like kid Gohan was except she'd be more devoted to fighting and easily surpass Future Trunks.

Does anyone here think Beerus and Whis might take a shine to Pan? (Baby or not?)
Re: How would you handle a teenage/older Pan?
I'd like for her to work with Jaco when she becomes an adult. So much adventure she could have in the space, at least for some years while she finds it fun.
