Think about it, you're flying along in Namek heading toward a Dragonball when a batallion of Freeza's men pick you up and you've got to mow your way though five hundred of them to get to your destination. And when you get there you go into a one-on-one boss battle against Dodoria who's already there to claim that Dragonball.

Or you get to play as Bardock during his mode fighting off the entire Kanassan population, and then Dodoria's men on Meat, and finally Freeza's soldiers on your way up to attack the tyrant himself. :D
Reminds me of the KH2 1000 Heartless fight, another reason why reaction commands would rock. I can see my person almost down and a big triangle pops up, and when I press it, I grab a random enemy and start swinging him around, knocking down numerous enemy's and finally flinging the guy into the nearest mountain, all done in a glorious mini-cutscene.

The Kingdom Hearts 2 "1000" fight was pretty deceitful if you ask me. Ok, they put 1000 pre-rendered enemies on the screen; when in reality, you were only fighting around 4-7 at a time. :x

Might as well put the next DBZ game on a powerful system that can handle 20-30 enemies...and no, I don't think there will be a Wii game (exclusive at least..) either...does Mike know something we don't?

Did it ever work before in your current PS2?

August, which may be the reason I finally buy a 360.

Ditto, & with DBO (possibly?) coming out on the 360, there's seem no reason for me not to.

caejones, the only reason it didn't work is because..it wasn't MvC2: Venom,Ken,Jill FTW. Huh? Oh um, I'd like a DragonBall Z game that played like Street Fighter and not like SuperDBZ. I'm talking about an alpha or something..IDK if you guys know about the Guilty Gear series but I'd be cool to see DB with a game/anime movie for a console.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Haha, yeah. I do agree with you on that Rick. Maybe they should made a concole MUGEN DBZ! (^_~)

I'm all for this but unfortunately gamemakers are going back to 2D. And everything that gets put out is stupid. With all the retro gaming going on this is one thing we should be able to get.

I actually enjoyed the 1000 Heartless fight and wished there was more or that and that I could have used some forms in it. Atleast it was much, much better than the Matrix PoN Burly Brawl.

^_^ No, XMenVsSF never worked in the PS2. Just fine in PS1, hence why it's still around.

Hmm, random thought on the dozens-of-enemies-Sparking style... how would the targeting system work?

... I'm going to inform a certain being from the future about a couple of not-completely-humans i Las Vegas now... ^^

Right now I looking for a PS2 copy of MvC2 (even it costs $60), although I'd rather have the Dreamcast version. These frame rate and animation is much much better.

As for Super Sparking Mega Battle, the targeting would allow you to target the closest enemy then change targets, and it would allow you to attach right in front of you. You can attack as many enemies as your reach would allow. And you can direct you energy beams and attacks, instedd of them just going where you intially started.

When you mention more than one bad guy in a fighting game at once. Do mean a smash brothers type game but replace Nintendo characters with DBZ ones?

Hmm, sounds more like Kianu Reaves type melee... although, legends-style team battle (like, Sparking Neo, only all at once) might prove worth pursuing.

I'm surprised this hasn't been ripped off more. The only SSB ripoff games I know about are Shrek Super Slam and JSS+JUS.

I dunno if Power Stone counts.
