Discussion specifically regarding the "refreshed" TV version of DBZ created in Japan for its 20th anniversary, including individual threads for each episode.
OmegaRockman wrote:What do you guys think the odds are that they'll skip 98 since it never got a TV airing in Japan ?
Slim to none cause it's a normal episode that concludes the arc and the only reason it didn't air in Japan was because of the earthquake, not because it was a home release special.
I'd go ahead and bump that up to just "none" since it has aired stateside before, so there's absolutely no reason not to
Shouldn't this conversation be in the Funimation Buu Release Guesses Thread?

The best way to fix the giant cancer that is the DB Wiki is to provide an alternative for those who really want it. Even those who prefer dub names will wind up looking things up on the Kanzenshuu Wiki. Because sooner or later, they're going to need information they know they can trust.

I disagree Asura Toonami will get Super just not yet. I think they will likely air Buu then go to Super they can have dragonball as the backbone for Toonami this way for years and years to come at least 3 but likely more. I highly doub anything they could acquire will bring in the ratings like Dragonball can and has. Bleach was the backbone before toonami got Dragon Ball and Even top shonen like One Piece and Naruto would flounder at the 12am spot.

Okay... the dip from Kai to JoJo, which was a staggering 467,000 viewers, was fucking horrendous and major red flags should be drawn after this. Nearly half a million, which is nearly a 3rd of the audience, tuned out after an reatively uneventful episode of Kai and never returned. This drop off of viewers managed to beat out the previous 408,000 record drop from Bleach to Tenchi Muyo GXP on Thanksgiving weekend in 2012 and is officially the worst drop off from one show to another in the same block since Toonami relaunched. I really hate to say it, but think JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a officially a dud in the West. It's never manged to pull a good rating since its been on the block. I only recall the show managing to pull in more than one million viewers twice so far. That's just not good at all. Especially considering how much money Toonami are losing because of this.

Super is going to do a monster rating its debut. And when the new content airs, overall viewership will go through the roof.

JJBA's broadcast is still in Phantom Blood/Part 1, which is generally regarded as the weakest part of the series. I wouldn't worry about it just yet.
Battle Tendency/Part 2 starts at episode 10, and is generally much more highly regarded. ...Now, if it's still hemorrhaging viewers after episode 13 or so, then I'd say there's actual cause for concern.
