What's your biggest fear of the next arc?

Bringing back another supporting character like Future Trunks, and then handling them so poorly it makes people wonder why they wanted more supporting characters in the first place.

Basically, trying to be different, but half-assing it so the very idea of doing something different gets tainted.

Nah, because of the idea of letting Trunks catch up in power by giving him a new form with no context and no explanation. And then having him show up and save the day kind of out of nowhere. It made people complain Trunks was too much of a 'Gary Stu' and shouldn't ever come back to the series.

You are right with the new form but kid goku saving the day against king piccolo with a dragonfist it came out of nowhere just like future trunks

This doesn't only go for the next arc, but I'm afraid that this series already reached its peak with the Goku Black arc. Same way GT peaked too early with the Bebi saga.

The animation looking bad and bad fight choreography.
TBH just make the animation and fight choreography cool and I'll take anything as it is, Toriyama's a good story teller from my perspective so him being involved in the story and writing what actually needs to happen, like how it begins and how it ends is more than enough for me to sit through it and watch it, despite my hate on how they treated Trunks with all the random BS powerups and spirit sword which even he had no idea how that happened, as a means to just make him relevant on how the arc finishes, I'm a big fan on the story with time paradox stuffs and Black being such a great antagonist in it, only downfall was when he merged with Zamasu, good thing Vegito came in but dude didnt even last an episode.....
I actually find it hard for them to top up Black arc, that may also be one of my fears, that they wont be able to make a better arc than that.

That we will get so many retcons and plotholes without a decent justification. Also things being redundant. The Saiyans getting their behinds kicked then travelling back to the present, then going back and getting beat again, then going back to the present; this was a big annoyance of the Zamasu Arc.

I'm also worried that anything to come won't top this subpar FT Arc.

I'm going to assume that "the next arc" in this case is the arc Toyotarou will be ahead of the anime in. I don't have one specific biggest fear, so here's a few picks:

• Still no time-skip, we're temporal limbo in Age 780 forever
• We go back to The Goku & Vegeta Show
• Gohan is kicked all the way up to Goku and Vegeta's level through uncharacteristic, contrived reasons just because fanservice (I'm not 100 % against the idea itself, but it has to be done properly)
• SPEEDY SPEED ARC, PACING IS BLINDING ME / SPEEDY SPEED ARC, AS FAST AS IT CAN BE ( )
• Whoever the main villain is has no personality (Black might have spoiled us a little, but still) and is straight up boring

Deliberately leaving certain characters out when it makes sense for them to be involved in the action. For example Piccolo and the Mafuba.

It definitely makes sense for Uub to be the 5th fighter as universe 7 need one so for that to happen it will have to be some time in the future.

I'm afraid now that Trunks is gone it'll be the Goku and Vegeta show again.

I definitely think it will not just be them 2 as not much will happen in the arc otherwise . Trunks made things happen so Vegeta and Goku could do their stuff.
