I disagree with that statement, continuing a respective series while u change MC doesnt kill them.

JoJo Bizarre adventures is a great example, they had 8 MCs(Jonathan, Joseph, Jotaro, Josuke, Giorno, Jolyne, Jhonny and Jousuke).
Boruto has replaced Naruto.
Gon has been replaced by Kurapika as for now in HxH.
Levi has been a Main Character more than Eren in Shingeki no Kyojin.

Complex stories can be bad and simple stories can also be bad, my personal example is Dragon Ball Super itself, it's simple but from a writing standpoint, it is quite weak. Kuwabara's character has been straightforward, training and getting stronger, he has great perseverance, unlike Gohan who is a roller coaster honestly, he get's strong then get's weak then get's strong again and weak again etc etc. Kuwabara was relevant to the plot 95 % of the time, even if he was weak he at least fought and tried. That's completely different for Gohan(he did fight even when he was weaker but was mostly scarred or did not want to). So saying the series has the same "sins" as Dragon ball Z has is totally bogus. I'm pretty sure if Yu Yu continued Kuwabara would at one point start fighting again. This is the last reply from my side , to me YU Yu Hakusho is a far greater anime then Dragon ball could ever hope to be.

Yu Yu Hakusho > Dragon Ball
Critical thinking is great, but its not automatically better than something where you can sit back and relax. Dragon Ball has that too, as we see with Kami's monologue as his ineffectiveness as a God, or Toriyama's ways of writing like with his ironic examples (small guys being strong as an example). Also Kuwabara, does get weaker as he loses his powers at one point, only to then get the Dimension Sword, which again is like Gohan going SSj2 against Cell, getting weaker over 7 years and then gaining Ultimate form, although the time constraints are completely different. I don't see how the comparison is bogus when its literally the same thing.
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

I didn't mean forever, just 1 or 2 arcs before the Buu arc and it didn't have to be just Gohan, we could've gotten a Piccolo centric arc as well.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
