Pretty disappointing that three (six?) good villains got shoved into one entry. Below the incredibly bland Cell, no less.

BTW, small nitpick. You guys said Buu absorbed one Kaioshin. He absorbed two: Grand Kaioshin and South Kaioshin.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

The fact that braindead Piccolo Daimao managed to reach this far is irksome.

Braindead? What? What's wrong with Piccolo Daimao? He's my personal favorite DB villain.

Think it has to do with Daimao wishing for his youth to be restored instead of wishing for immortality so that Kami's death doesn't kill him as well. Thing is, this happened before Kami and his connection with his evil half was revealed in the story so from an out-of-universe perspective, it makes Daimao's bad wishing justifiable. As far as anyone with no hindsight to what happens next was concerned, Daimao had the heroes in a corner once he wished for youth and killed Shenlong.

It also kind of makes sense if you happen to be paranoid. Just imagine if Shenron had taken "I wish for immortality" too literally! Your body would still age, but you would never be able to die, no matter HOW painful things got! Your mind would be devoured by Alzheimer's, your eyes would become milky and nonfunctioning, your bowls would go out of control...and you would never have any hope of release from any of those things.

"Eternal youth", therefore, is a failsafe against that. Such a wish accomplishes almost the same thing while avoiding the pitfall of the former wish. It's actually pretty intelligent if you think about it from THAT perspective!

He didn't wish for that either. His wish was to restore his youth with no eternity involved.

Given that both him and Majin Buu are based off genies to some extent, I wonder if TFS will have them be related in some way come the Buu Arc, as in Buu being Popo's creation just to destroy for shits and giggles or something like that.

I'm sad they didn't show Expert Mission 15. I've tried so many different ways to beat it (including the way they said Grant beat it using Cooler) but I'm still stuck there. Closest I've gotten was equipping all of Beerus' stuff + spamming super kamehameha (which was surprising because I tried so many ultimates that looked way more impressive, but were weakened by their loading times).

I'm hoping that the upcoming level uncapping will help (PC hasn't gotten it yet) and I'll be able to sink more points into ki blast supers.

Kami's entire existence makes most of Piccolo's actions, in retrospect, idiotic beyond belief. I don't think he deserves a pass because Kami was introduced later, just like I don't think Freeza deserves a pass if you consider F a continuation of the story.

Spam kienzan. I couldn't beat it either, but kienzan is really effective in this mission. It helps a lot. And if you don't already know how to dodge the spiral blade attack thing they do, equip the move super guard and use that to defend against it. Other than that there's nothing else I can say to help.

Still don't think they justified him being on the list at all but what're you gonna do?

The only thing i can say is that they made me love BoG even more than before, i never thought about Beerus job that deeply, i mean, i didn't do it when i watched the movie.

Now it makes me as well like Beerus's concept even more as a whole because his two different portrayals. In the movie he's already unique from every other antagonist before him, he's funny and cool; in super on the other hand, while it's true that he's more villanous making him more alike to other bad guys in the franchise, the fact that he was so much a dick in the beginning of the series makes his change in ep 14 feel great, with him respecting Goku after his words "only because you're a god, it doesn't mean that you can decide the limits of a human", also, i loved how he change his behaviour towards Trunks in the BLack arc and his reaction to Zeno are hilarious.

At the same time, Beerus's existence in BoG is what literally revived the franchise, he is basically dragon ball's savior, imagine if the antagonist was that Lizard-like villain "Virus", i doubt that things would have gone in the same way.

I think that his place on the top 5 is well deserved.
I really miss ma boy, Black :(

When it came to Beers I did expect him to be nonchalant about his genocide. I even expected him to be a dick, which he was in BoG. But in Super, what a monster, Toei chose to make him no better than every other opponent Goku fought. Think about how Beers was shown in Super in the first dozen episodes, than think about how Zamasu was when Gowasu was trying to train him. Their level of sadism and horror were equal. Super's Beers could have easily went Zamasu's route.
