Overhyping? Dude you know that if Broly managed to become a GOD before Goku he would trash Beerus and Whis with minnimum effort, right?Dbzfan94 wrote:Between what you said about his portrayal in the games, and his fanboys overhyping him even more, it's pretty justifiable

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.
Aaaaaaaaaaand this is exactly what I meant.Noah wrote:Overhyping? We say a lot to explain why. Just wait for the entry.Doctor. wrote:The fact that braindead Piccolo Daimao managed to reach this far is irksome.
Braindead? What? What's wrong with Piccolo Daimao? He's my personal favorite DB villain.Doctor. wrote:The fact that braindead Piccolo Daimao managed to reach this far is irksome.

Think it has to do with Daimao wishing for his youth to be restored instead of wishing for immortality so that Kami's death doesn't kill him as well. Thing is, this happened before Kami and his connection with his evil half was revealed in the story so from an out-of-universe perspective, it makes Daimao's bad wishing justifiable. As far as anyone with no hindsight to what happens next was concerned, Daimao had the heroes in a corner once he wished for youth and killed Shenlong.FoolsGil wrote:Doctor. wrote:The fact that braindead Piccolo Daimao managed to reach this far is irksome.
...Braindead? Oh I want to hear this one.
It also kind of makes sense if you happen to be paranoid. Just imagine if Shenron had taken "I wish for immortality" too literally! Your body would still age, but you would never be able to die, no matter HOW painful things got! Your mind would be devoured by Alzheimer's, your eyes would become milky and nonfunctioning, your bowls would go out of control...and you would never have any hope of release from any of those things.Lunatic Fringe wrote:Think it has to do with Daimao wishing for his youth to be restored instead of wishing for immortality so that Kami's death doesn't kill him as well. He didn't wish for that either. His wish was to restore his youth with no eternity involved.Fionordequester wrote:"Eternal youth", therefore, is a failsafe against that. Such a wish accomplishes almost the same thing while avoiding the pitfall of the former wish. It's actually pretty intelligent if you think about it from THAT perspective!
Given that both him and Majin Buu are based off genies to some extent, I wonder if TFS will have them be related in some way come the Buu Arc, as in Buu being Popo's creation just to destroy for shits and giggles or something like that.floofychan333 wrote:Thanks for Popo the Genie! Kami's entire existence makes most of Piccolo's actions, in retrospect, idiotic beyond belief. I don't think he deserves a pass because Kami was introduced later, just like I don't think Freeza deserves a pass if you consider F a continuation of the story.FoolsGil wrote:Doctor. wrote:The fact that braindead Piccolo Daimao managed to reach this far is irksome.

Spam kienzan. I couldn't beat it either, but kienzan is really effective in this mission. It helps a lot. And if you don't already know how to dodge the spiral blade attack thing they do, equip the move super guard and use that to defend against it. Other than that there's nothing else I can say to help.Chuquita wrote:I'm sad they didn't show Expert Mission 15. I've tried so many different ways to beat it (including the way they said Grant beat it using Cooler) but I'm still stuck there. Closest I've gotten was equipping all of Beerus' stuff + spamming super kamehameha (which was surprising because I tried so many ultimates that looked way more impressive, but were weakened by their loading times).
I'm hoping that the upcoming level uncapping will help (PC hasn't gotten it yet) and I'll be able to sink more points into ki blast supers.
Thank you. I'll give it a try.MajinMan wrote:Spam kienzan. I couldn't beat it either, but kienzan is really effective in this mission. It helps a lot.
