Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

5. Dragon Ball Kai Boo Saga - This one is pretty well done! This remastered version is a joy for my eyes! But the first part of Kai...
6. Dragon Ball Kai - ...I actually don't like it, mostly because of the colors. Almost looks fan-made for me :\
You're the 1st and only fan I've seen say this.
Although there's a difference between them, It's not big enough for me to rate them as 2 shows.

A lot of that comes from the companies behind it treating it like the unimportant prequel to Z which is a shame cause not only is it important to Z and the franchise as a whole, it's also really good on its own.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
DB: unbeatable, it was creative, joyful and fun. That space thing ruined everything...
Super:... but had become fun again with less serious characters. Really. I was an hater, now I understood that campy philosophy behind the show and I really enjoy it.
Z: i feel enervated by that much shouting and slow progress. It also signs the end of a martial art adventure and the begin of kick-punch-laser special effect bonanza. Balls of energy that destroy planets? C'mon. And that need to add characters after characters to compensate lack of plot ideas.
[put everything you want in, to do a billion points list]
GT: no words.
I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.

Goku beat the world's strongest army, a legendary demon and his son & won the Tenkaichi tournament so where else could it have gone ?
If Toriyama wasn't lazy, I think, he would then come to a more creative idea than simply explain that Goku and Piccolo - aliens.
It's offtopic, but I think that Z-part of the series would be a LOT better, if Toriyama wasn't lazy and (probably) tired.

Dragon Ball : Z included. It is one story. One single letter added to the title doesn't mean crap. I enjoy it for what it is. A simple, average and fun battle shounen series. The Kikuchi score and the acting by the original Japanese cast makes it memorable for me.
Dragon Ball Super : Okay-ish series. Despite all its flaws, it has been fun watching it every week. It has been 80% trash and 20% fun. That 20% is why I still keep watching it.
Dragon Ball GT : As a lot of people say, good concepts but lackluster execution. I still like the OST and some of the character designs. The Baby stuff was also good.
Kai doesn't deserve a place cause it is a half-assed product with little to no effort from the staff and I don't support half-assed products.

Dragon Ball Z is my favorite, then Dragon Ball is next.
The Boo Arc is pretty bad, but while a lot of people say Cell is overrated (although not as much as some might say, even if it's inferior to Saiyan and Freeza), the same can actually be said about Dragon Ball. The only really great Arc in it is Piccolo Daimao.

Mythology has limitless concepts and ideas, for example. (:

I generally like it despite its narrative progress being too slow for my tastes but that can change as the weeks progress. You never know what the future holds.
In the OP, I said to count Super as is up to episode 70, the baseball episode.

The best way to fix the giant cancer that is the DB Wiki is to provide an alternative for those who really want it. Even those who prefer dub names will wind up looking things up on the Kanzenshuu Wiki. Because sooner or later, they're going to need information they know they can trust.

Dragon Ball VS Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters The Final Chapters. Honestly, I'm not interested in watching either, but I'd be more inclined to TFC.
Dragon Ball Z VS Dragon Ball Kai Z. I like filler, and pacing isn't particularly an issue when skipping is available.
[quote="Anime Kitten"]Dragon Ball VS Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters
I think I'll say DBZ Kai The Final chapters - because of the new french dub.
Dragon Ball Z VS Dragon Ball Kai
Dragon Ball Kai - the french dub. DBZ takes too long to sit through, and I have great interest in the new french dub.
Dragon Ball vs Dragon Ball Kai: The Final Chapters
Dragon Ball, no contest. Boo Kai was a little disappointing compared to Kai, and although it is better than the Z version of its portion of the story, Dragon Ball is still better IMO. Nostalgia is a part of it, but so is the fun, adventurous atmosphere. I could watch OG Dragon Ball endlessly, and never get bored.
Dragon Ball Z vs Dragon Ball Kai
Kai, hands down. Z is a classic anime, but Kai is an improved version of it. The more questionable animation is touched up, the filler is toned down, the Yamamoto score is really great, it was remastered in such a way that you can watch it in 4:3 or 16:9, making everyone happy, and to top it all off, the dub is really good.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.
My vote is then this:
- Dragon Ball
- Dragon Ball Z Kai
