You can see this the most when people use it as a criticism of DB Super. Its like yeah DB was always aimed at kids even during its most serious arcs and there is nothing wrong with that.
And the other side of the coin:
When people ignore the flaws Super (or Ball, Z or GT) has with the excuse that it's a kids' show. You can see this pop up as a defence when someone criticises Super for having inconsistencies or bad storytelling. Being aimed at kids doesn't mean you should be able to get away with sub-par writing.
Sure i completely agree it does not excuse bad writing. I mean forget Super this even applies to DB and DBZ some arcs were clearly better than others.

My point was mostly that i see this being thrown out from time to time almost to suggest that DB as a franchise has some kind of weird obligation to grow up with the audience witch is complete nonsense there is nothing wrong with DB being a kids show in the past and there is certainly nothing wrong with it being a kids show in the future.

I have a new one, and it's the fact that sometimes it seems like the viewers don't actually pay any attention to super's episodes.
I mean, a lot of times i've seen fans complaining about things that are answered in the show. This episode was the tipping point, in the comment section of youtube, people were complaining because "Zeno saved the day and our heroes's problems were solved" and i'm like, no!!! did we watch the same episode? all the people that Trunks was trying to protect died so it doesn't matter if Zamasu died or not, the point still stand they failed. In fact, Trunks going to other timeline still deosn't solve anything cause those people are still not the same that they were trying to protect, they just went there because they prefer to live with an alternate version of the ones that they failed to save than stay in the main timeline. It's not even like RoF where Goku killed Freeza and saved the world, Trunks's future wasn't saved and that was pretty much the point of the arc.

I can see someone complaining because they dislike the fact that they lost but i don't see why would anyone be upset because "deus ex machina", in fact, do you know how it would have been like that?, if Zeno killed Zamasu in ep 65/66 saving the world.

Another example of this would be when people were talking about why doesn't Zamasu destroy the Earth when it was stated many times that he only wants to kill the mortals.

It grinds my gears when people use the word "filler" to refer to something's canonicity, or something's relation to source material.

Filler has nothing to do with any of that. Filler is exactly what it sounds like, it's fluff, padding, and other things that fill space in-between plot points. Even Toriyama's original manga has filler by the correct definition.

Now talking about filler, i hate that some fans automatically link filler with something bad, as if all filler was terrible or something like that (trust me, i've met some of them)

The claim that Goku didn't know his son. People have taken Piccolo's statement at face value and disregard that Goku knows Gohan wants to be a scholar.

Also, Gohan had shown interest in combat before, so Goku's assumptions were never that far-fetched. Pacifist Gohan didn't exist until just before his transformation at the Cell Games.

This is the epitome of supreme ignorance. Especially "depends on his power ups and no skills" alone is enough proof why this is just so wrong that it hurts.

Not to mention, "Goku isn't even smart". If he wasn't, then how was he able to survive on his own, be a prodigy in battle, figure out techinques, etc.

There's differents kinds of smart. Some people are smart with technology, others can't turn on a phone without a tome of instructions detailing everything. Some people are more book smart but aren't much good for practically applying this knowledge while others are.

Goku is smart when it comes to fighting but he's a total oblivious idiot when it comes to a great many other things.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

I would say throw it against the wall but phones these days are about as flimsy as plot structure of the Android arc.

To be fair, so far my phone has proved indestructible.

TBH, I'd say "ignorant" is a better term. Because Goku is actually smart in his own right, he even knows how to drive iirc, hunt down creatures for meals, etc.

We're not necessarily obliged to use the official names. Sure, it avoids potential confusion, but not everyone wants to use "Super Saiyan Rage" over "Super Trunks". Calling it the "Future" Trunks arc doesn't really convey the real centerpoint of the arc, in my opinion, so I call it the Zamasu arc.

Also, sometimes the official names are dumb. The Future Trunks arc wasn't focused on Future Trunks for the most part, it was focused on Zamasu. If some fans have some kind of arbitrary attachment to the official names, that's fine. Most of us don't.

They probably avoided referring to it as the Zamasu arc because that would spoil Zamasu's involvement in the story; him being the big bad of the arc was meant to be sort of a surprise. However, since arcs generally are named for the big bad, calling it Zamasu arc would be keeping consistent with that pattern.
