Do I have to explain it? The proof is in the Toei movies, GT and even Battle of Gods. Goku is made so super special and seemingly the only one who can ever do anything worthwhile in a fight because he's the main character.
I don't remember the exact quote (I think Kaboom said it) but it's in someone's signature and it basically said Goku makes everyone less special since he's stronger than everyone from Z in just his base form
But Goku was like that in the original manga. Even in the Cell Saga where Gohan killed the main villain, it was Goku's spirit who guided and encouraged Gohan to victory. Gohan even said it was Goku who saved them. So, I am not sure what you're saying since Goku being more special than the rest was always there.
Goku also lost in BOG and put himself at Beerus' mercy despite getting a major power-up.

Ok, fine. God Ki and SSJG in and of itself is huge plot armor.
Goku still loses even with Super Saiyan God and God ki. So how does he have plot armor?
Not to be mean, but I don't think you know what plot armor actually means. But that seems to be true of this entire thread since no one has been using plot armor correctly, not even the original poster. Using Urban Dictionary:
Character shields (also known as plot armor or plot shield) are plot devices in films and television shows that prevent important characters from dying or being seriously injured at dramatically inconvenient moments. It often denotes a situation in which it strains credibility to believe that the character would survive.
So basically, all the main characters in the series have plot armor since they don't die most of the time despite half the things that happened to them. For example, Piccolo surviving having his neck broken, having half his side blown off, and tossed into the ocean is plot armor, especially since Nappa killed Piccolo with far less Force. Honestly, Mr. Satan have the most plot armor of all the heroes.
