Ooh, let's watch every episode of all three series and all the movies and specials and take notes on every thing that could be considered a character that moves; if it doesn't exist or can't be consolidated, make a character of it!
... Like .. the SEGA logo. It won one of the intro fights from Eternal Champions... surely it could shoot a kamehameha! Ooh, or base it on the fights it had and give it a rush attack! And Self Destruct! And for transformations, it can have the form it's in after Midnight drains its power, and the Sonic The Hedgehog version...
Oh wait, that has nothing to do with Dragonball...
So, umm, what about that whole "these characters change in strength throughout the series, so how can we give them absolute levels compared to characters that killed them in one saga, but who are no match for them in the next"? Mainly this applies to the heroes... like, Goku starts out with a power level of 300 something, and then his base gets up around... who knows what... he doesn't do well against Raditz on his own, but can take out the Ginyu force later. That makes sense in the series... how do we deal with that in the game short of all of these ridiculous stat items and an insane amount of alternate versions of characters? How is it handled in Sparking! and Sparking Neo?

Well ... This kind of thing could never be handled properly in a fighting game if only for the fact that you would have over ten different forms of each character. But with the proper RPG elements you could get something that would closely resemble what your refering to. And that would require having much more than just seven or eight equipment slots.caejones wrote:So, umm, what about that whole "these characters change in strength throughout the series, so how can we give them absolute levels compared to characters that killed them in one saga, but who are no match for them in the next"? I like the idea of having separate GT versions of Goku and Vegeta who have to go thru Golden Oozaru stages before attaining SS4. With Goku starting out as a Kid of course.gohanku wrote:No, like Vegeta and Goku in GT, the Golden Oozaru, not Bebi Vegeta but the natural, no amour golden monster!LOUD-TREE wrote: Baby (bebi?) Well... I think the best way for GT Goku was to have separate transformations, like Gohan.
Meaning: start of as normal, go to Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 3 (because GT forgot that Super Saiyan 2 existed :D) or start of as normal, go to Gold Ozaru and Super Saiyan 4.
Same for Vegeta: Normal > Super Saiyan or Normal > Gold Ozaru > Super Saiyan 4.
That would make more sense... to me at least.
And again I make a request to all the people out there! Please refrain on all those character lists, it's annoying when people are looking for news. You guys could make another topic for characters, with somekind of tracking in the first post (like someone was doing around here) for the most requested characters. Or you could ignore me completly D:

Jord, broken image? Anyway, I hope they turn Ginyu's Body Change attack back into the way it was in BT, I mean it was lame in BT2, completely random change and not being able to use anything! But the poses and voice are cool, they should keep that part from BT2. The World Tournament Stage need to be able to be selected for fighting outside of Tournament fighting, I mean in BT2, you could only use it in Com VS Com! And Mr Satan? At least make his UB not like a Russian-Roulette... 1 damage or super-powerful damage, blah.

You can use the world tournment stage in all the duel modes, though I avoid it because it's still too damn easy to get a ring out.gohanku wrote:I mean in BT2, you could only use it in Com VS Com!
Wait, it can actually do more than one damage?gohanku wrote:And Mr Satan? At least make his UB not like a Russian-Roulette... 1 damage or super-powerful damage, blah.

Actually, it wasn't entirely ignored. Goku does go SSJ2 very briefly a couple times, but instead chooses to revert back to SSJ1. Good examples are when Hyper Mega Rilldo launches some uber-metalic attack at him, Goku powers up to block it (his hair clearly goes to the SSJ2 features and he even gets notable lighting representing the intensity), but for some reason immediately reverts back to level 1; I believe he does so again at the start of his battle with Super 17 at the end of the episode where he meets him, but next episode is back at SSJ1. So what they could do with GT Chibi Goku is give his SSJ form a SSJ2 brief upgrade, similar to regular-adult Goku's Kaioken burst. As for SSJ2 in GT, I always stick to the aspect that (in the anime) lightning doesn't always have to be present for a SSJ2 (just represents intensity sometimes) as shown with some shots of SSJ2 Gohan in the Cell Games and SSJ2 Vegeta's confrontation with Kid Buu (SSJ2 Goku in movie 12 also, if one wants to count that). So going off that assumption, I presume Gohan and Vegeta are always in SSJ2 form when they transform in GT (all though I tend to view Vegeta at SSJ1 during the start of his battle with Bebi-Gohan till he overpowers him).DNA wrote:Thanks for ignoring me :3
Anyway, Super Saiyan 2 transformation was completly ignored in GT.
And those things you guys just said have been said time and time again, do you even read.. about 5 posts ago? Not to say the last pages.
Oh crap, when did this turn into a rant about SSJ2. Sorry! ^^;;
Anywho, here're the moves I'd like to see GT Chibi Goku get:
Normal-Form - Kamehame-Ha (Blast 2; Variation 1), Typical Rush attack (B2; V2), Grand Kamehamhe-Ha (Ultimate Blast, basically Goku getting help from Pan to launch an ultimate Kamehame-Ha attack like the one that kills Rilldo) -- w/t Tayoken (B1; V1) and Dinner Time (B1; V2, a Full Power-Up).
Super Saiyan - Charged Energy Attack (B2; V1, a move he used to attack Super 17 that helped increase his power), Kamehame-Ha (B2; V2), Super Kamehame-Ha (Ultimate Blast, designed to emulate how he performed a pointblank Kamehame-Ha against Super 17) -- w/t Super Saiyan 2 (B1; V1, a brief power-up similar to normal-adult Goku's Kaioken) and After Image (B1; V2).
Super Saiyan 3 - Typical Rush attack (B2; V1), Super Kamehame-Ha (B2; V2, typical Kamehame-Ha with an energy-charge to it), Assisted Dragon Fist (Ultimate Blast, pretty much Goku receiving help from #18 to pull off the attack while only differing from how he defeats Super 17 with him in SSJ3) -- w/t Power of the Tail (B1; V1, a health healing ability) and Power to the Limit (B1; V2, equivalent to Full Power-Up).
Golden Great Ape - Flame of Rage (B2; V1, modeled after a flame-out-of-the-mouth shooting attack), Giant Rock Attack (B2; V2, a typical rock-smashing attack), Fury of Kakarrot (Ultimate Blast, basically an attack where Goku grabs his opponent and holds him/her in midair squeezing, throws to the ground, and crushes with a gigantic punch) -- w/t Howl (B1; V1) and Sleep (B1; V2).
Super Saiyan 4 - 10x Kamehame-Ha (B2; V1), Multi-Energy Wave (B2; V2, typical multiple energy attack), Super Dragon Fist (Ultimate Blast, done exactly as how he used it against Super Yi Xing Long) -- w/t Tayoken and After Image.

You can? I can't find it in any other duel mode than Com VS Com.Xyex wrote:You can use the world tournment stage in all the duel modes, though I avoid it because it's still too damn easy to get a ring out.
Yup, actually do about half to one lifebar full, I experience it after giving it a try. Adter a +10 UB, he could do 9000+ damage....Xyex wrote:Wait, it can actually do more than one damage?
Now, since everyone is doing it, here is what 23rd Budokai(Teen, since he is around 15?) Goku should be like. He will not use any weapon, the costumes will be the Master Roshi, Turtle Gi and Shu's Ninja costume, no transformation.
Attacks:B1-Afterimage and Wild Senses
B2-Super Kamehameha and Eight Arm Attack (Goku rushes up to opponent and grows 3 more pairs of arm and does a lot of punching to the opponent and finishes it off with a smash back down to the ground)
UB-Super Oozaru Fist(Goku rushes up to the person and punches him up into the sky, Goku then uses a Kamehameha to propel himself up and the opponent will block, as Goku goes toward the opponent, he will raise his fist to an attack position and an Oozaru will appear as Goku is screaming and Goku will burst through his opponent, or in shorter terms, the last part of King Piccolo fight, or Kid Goku's final attack in Budokai 3.

Hmm..some one claims they have new Sparking Meteor info. I wonder if we can trust this source? It sounds like very nice information if true.
