Personally, I'd like to vote for Gohan to call Buu a "dickhead", mostly because in Buu's case it could be taken both figuratively and literally. (Although we'll have to wait and see to know what they actually did.)

Just looked it up. The word he says more so means just "dumbass," but "retard" has been a synonym for it since at least the 90s. However, since a lot of people in these more PC times have more of a problem with that word than is really warranted (not saying it's not bad, it's just not as bad as people can crack it up to be, but that's just me) most of the time, I'm assuming the most they'll have him say is "dumbass."
Whatever fansubs you watched obviously punched up the dialogue, a la TV-Nihon, to make the dialogue seem more edgy than it was.

Honestly (and more realistically) he's likely to simply call him an idiot, or maybe moron. The intent is just to call him stupid, and I don't think Funimation will actually have a protagonist call someone a "retard" when that word is especially so volatile now in the west.
