Buying a new PSOne strikes me as being a bit silly. If you really, really wanted to buy an eight year old console, you might as well get a second hand one for a quarter of the price.

Actually it is really dumb that they're still selling them, since you can just play the PS1 games on the PS2 anyway.

But, it's portable. Click on a neat LCD screen on your PSone and it looks so cool. ^_^

And it's better portable than let's say, a X-Box with a screen. Which is actually being made, I have been told. O_o

And it's a lot cheaper too. Presumably the market is for people who want to buy really young children a console, and don't want to splash out on one of the bigger (and more expensive) ones.

But, as I said, a second hand one would make much more sense. They're about £20 over here, usually with a couple of things thrown in.
