How do you personally check in?
On your typical basis, what's your go-to pattern for checking in the forum?
Myself, I start by checking my posts (Your Posts). Once I finish reading the threads and responding where I see fit, and a page refresh or two, I check Unread Posts. If there's anything that catches my interest, I read it and occasionally respond. Once I'm done there, I mark forums read. Then I usually browse for a bit.

I check my notifications, General Franchise discussion, In-Universe Discussion, and then I leave or sometimes just search the other sub-forums.

I'm always on, I just reload the page every once in a while to check my notifications, that's about it. I check the most recent post in each section when I'm in the mood for discussion.

New posts. I don't like the notifications update.
I have borderline personality disorder, if my posts ever come off as aggressive or word vomit-y to you, please let me know.

I assume you already turned everything off notifications-wise? Because you can do that.Soppa Saia People wrote:I don't like the notifications update.

I did. It kinda ruins the feeling of coming home from school and checking the new posts out. (For me)Anime Kitten wrote:I assume you already turned everything off notifications-wise? Because you can do that.Soppa Saia People wrote:I don't like the notifications update.

Re: How do you personally check in?
I only have noticications for PMs and quotes. I'm technically always logged in because I'm on mobile with Remember Me but I really only check new posts every once in a while.

It goes in an order:
1. Check notifications
2. Vs battle thread
3. Any other in universe forum thread
4. Fan created works, mostly interesting or funny picture thread or power levels tread.
5. Continue to other parts of the forum or leave.

Re: How do you personally check in?
Unless I have a notification my usual pattern is
1: View "your posts" list.
2: Just browse random threads until something catches my eye.

I do nothing but click "new posts" unless I'm actively looking for something that I've posted in.

Re: How do you personally check in?
I got straight to "New Posts" and then once I'm done with that, I go to "Unread Posts" to see if there are any other threads I may be interested enough to comment in.

First, Notifications (usually 0), then "Your posts". After that I sometimes check "New posts", but I usually just wait a while, then come back and repeat the first two steps.

Re: How do you personally check in?
I just watch the recent posted thread titles for all the sections in the main page. Then I go to the Super section, if theres nothing interesting (or the endless Gohan and/or power level inconsistences discussions are taking place ), I search in the In-Universe, General Section, Fan Created works, Videogames, Then if I find something I really want to comment on I log in to post and then check everything else.
Sleeping until the tournament is over.

Re: How do you personally check in?
Wow, it's been a while. My pattern has actually completely changed. Now I check notifications first (usually anywhere between 14 and 24~25), also checking any new ones I may get while checking, then I check unread posts, occasionally comment in a thread or two, and then that's it.
In the extremely rare event of a PM (cough cough hack hack), I check them before notifications.

Me, too. My bookmark link is to the unread threads page.Ajay wrote:I do nothing but click "new posts" unless I'm actively looking for something that I've posted in.
