Wow, this is the first time I notice (thanks to the higher quality) how his pupils actually are. They're way close, it actually "derps" the whole design
I can't tell if those are pupils or just the black shadow around the eyes.

It's hard to tell but I do think it's pupils because they are slightly clearer and rounder.

I wish I could influence DB in that way, even if it's just in the mind of some of the fans. I wouldn't sleep at night.

I'm really not too fond of a lot of the "basic" AF concepts like Xicor and Super Saiyan 5, but yes, I do think this specific design is probably the most widely recognizable in the context of "what if a GT sequel added SS5".

It certainly is interesting how times have changed now that Dragon Ball is back with a new series. If anything, having Super around has actually kind of given AF rumors a weird charm to me.
Don't be too alarmed if I just don't show up for a few months. Hooray for fleeting interests!

Yeah, if there ever was going to be a SSJ5, it probably would look like this.
"All of you. All of you must have KILL all the SEASONS!" -Dough (Tenshinhan), Speedy Dub of Movie 9.

"My opinion of Norihito's Sumitomo's new score is... well, very mixed. The stuff that's good is pretty darn good, but the stuff that's bad makes elevator music sound like Jerry freaking Goldsmith." -Kenisu

I agree, and I think Mira's final form is somehow the closest we're gonna get to an official acknowledgment.

I think Gogeta's alternate colors in Budokai3 were also in a way

I just took it out, but I am still looking and trying to guess where I got that from.

I never cared much for ssj4; so I'm not a fan of unofficial ssj5 either.

Honestly, it's the furry arms (and legs?) that're the turnoff.
If ssj4 was just the hair and eyes I'd be fine with it.

There's a big difference between hairy guy and guy with literal fur growing out of his arms.
On hiatus.

Maybe on terms of density but our hair is basically our fur nonetheless.

If Anything is the fur that makes the form stand out the most in my opinion. It has a Primal look to it..

This is true. I was talking about the density.

It does make it stand out, I just don't care for all that fur in a design sense. The design works, I'd just rather see the muscles bare instead of covered in fur.

Part of why I think kaio-ken looks so cool is you can literally see the change in muscles. You don't get the same effect if the arms are covered up.

There's a SSJ 5 Design with no fur...

I think that the silver-ssj4-with-ssj3-hair is decently accepted; accepted enough that its always among those unofficial/knockoff figures you see from time to time :D

Do you have any idea why you used "urban" in this context? Are we at the point where it's just become a dog-whistle word for so many things it's now a stand-in for any cultural elements the user dislikes or hasn't been exposed to without regard for its original meaning?

You know what's urban? Chicago.

Holy shit, this image is perfect. It belongs in a museum. Everything about it is so in the spirit of "DBZeeee" it might actually be what Plato was describing when he tried to define the sublime.
