But a parallel to Goku is exactly what Perfect Cell before him was.
I don't see Perfect Cell as Goku's parallel. Cell's motives were more egocentric, he wanted to prove that he's perfection I see Cell more similar to Freeza to honest. Boo wanted to satisfy his needs without caring about others. Goku does that by some extend, after all he fights for himself, not for others. Both want satisfaction through their battles, while Cell wanted to prove that his perfect.
At least that's my perspective. Opinions may differ.

Cell was a lot of people. He was Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Freeza, and King Cold's brother... Gohan, Trunks, and Freeza's uncle... Bulma and Chi-Chi's brother-in-law.

The thing that makes me think RoF is the worst of them all the most is the harm it does to Freeza's character.I get it,he wants revenge and he trains in order to be ready for the battle.But he is doomed to fail from the very beginning.He doesn't master his form which is eventually his downfall and doesn't take his chance to kill Goku when he could just because he felt the urge to give Vegeta the pleasure.I love Freeza,I really do but that movie just made a fool out of an already drained out villain.
Freeza wasn't aware of the stamina drain problem. Also he's so goddamn stubborn and pig headed, honestly what happened in the film is what would have happened. Also fuck the Vegeta part, that part was actually dumb

Not it should not as it clears shows that the only reason to bring Freeza back to life was fan service, we're expecting a proper build on his character and plenty of development, it's a film with his name for f***'s sake! Having a smarter Freeza that was coming back to Earth for a second time revenge, but this time well planed, would've been very satisfying.

I agree. Which is why it sucks that Adult Goten literally gets little to no focus in promo material like Heroes or Dokkan and GT Trunks gets everything.

I know, in fact even though I enjoyed ROF. It was still insanely disappointing to me. Because it had so much potential.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Yeah. Its kind of cheap that both Vegeta and Goku can do it. Sure everything about Saiyans becoming normal for the rest has always been a thing in Dragon Ball, but its sad that Gohan has lost everything special about him.

because Goku got a damn rage boost like Vegeta that don't make any sense because rage boost is a gohan thing
Rage boost is a thing for everyone, It's just that Gohan hogged it for most of Dragon Ball Z. Also it didn't amount to anything in the end.
Uh no gohan is only character who got rage boost in DBZ and goku and Vegeta never got a rage boost in DBZ
