That'd be neat and I'm kind of expecting it. It's hard to believe that a show like Super animated too much for the opening and are just going to let it go to waste.ArchedThunder wrote:Maybe the opening will be slightly different depending on the episode, so an episode with fembroly might use her full cut in the opening.Sodhi wrote:They did cut some scenes that were shown in the preview from the opening. I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Unless some cuts from the OP will be used in the show proper?Sodhi wrote:They did cut some scenes that were shown in the preview from the opening. Probably because it was getting too long.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
Probably not because the cuts themselves don't even amount to 5 secs.

That's probably the best piece Otsuka's done for the show, hopefully we can see some good stuff from him in an episode proper!
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
When Shida and Otsuka said they would work in Super in the future, were they talking about the OP? Or an actual episode?
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
There is some terrible irony that Shida's part of the Opening has Yamamuro's Character Design and Sakuga Kanshu credit overlaid.

Well, they said they've joined the DB Team. They'll most likely come back once for a while. I mean Shida and Otsuka both bounces everywhere in TOEI.Alee9977 wrote:When Shida and Otsuka said they would work in Super in the future, were they talking about the OP? Or an actual episode?

Probably both, I imagine both of them meant it as a "we will continue to work on Super" comment.Alee9977 wrote:When Shida and Otsuka said they would work in Super in the future, were they talking about the OP? Or an actual episode?

Yeah, the start of the Shida scene is probably Jin Inaba based on what his artwork normally looks like, and the effects work is definitely reminiscent of his work on #38.Ajay wrote:Cuts and their animators:

Oh, another thing, when Goku goes SSJ in the opening, we can see the old impact frame again, I love when they use it.

I didn't spot any impact frames when he was going regular SSJ, but there was definitely one when he went SSB.Alee9977 wrote:Oh, another thing, when Goku goes SSJ in the opening, we can see the old impact frame again, I love when they use it.

There's one for his SS transformation too. You can see it in the shida cut ( although I guess the SS part is Jin Inaba ) if you pause it just right.JazzMazz wrote:I didn't spot any impact frames when he was going regular SSJ, but there was definitely one when he went SSB.Alee9977 wrote:Oh, another thing, when Goku goes SSJ in the opening, we can see the old impact frame again, I love when they use it.

After going to Ajay's twitter(everyone knows how much he loves impact frames), I belive you are referring to this frame.kinisking wrote:There's one for his SS transformation too. Man, i can't stand Yashima style and this episode was full of it. The way he draws faces is really ugly and if he did not got better after 77 episodes I doubt he will do it someday. Probably he thinks his work is good... so sad.

All three of those cuts are fantastic, but I have to say that Ken Otsuka's cut is best out of them all. You can really feel the weight of the punches in Otsuka's cut.Ajay wrote:Cuts and their animators:

Sakurada Hiroyuki is also now a Planner for the series. Sakurada was originally working on One Piece and when he joined that series he helped save it from its terrible scheduling.

He animates pretty much all of his episodes by himself. Considering that, he's very good.dodonpa wrote:Man, i can't stand Yashima style and this episode was full of it. Eh, I would probably say that Tate's was the best, I found Otsuka and Shidas cuts to be a little to overpowering, while I think Tate's work probably had the best timing of the three.Lord Beerus wrote:All three of those cuts are fantastic, but I have too say that Ken Otsuka's cut is best out og them all.
