Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 79
Next week looks disappointing. I really hope Karasawa is in 82, because if he's not i'm gonna kill myself...
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 79
Wow, I haven't seen any bad or weird shot in this episode, everything was on-model, and what a great fight, NEP though... doesn't look well.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 79
Well I wasn't expecting much but....dude what a disappointment...not even a single highlight in this episode....Not even a great moment....animation mediocre at best and off model moments returned and strong....next episode doesn't look like anything special either....so Toei gave 1 good fight just so they will deliver 2 bad ones.....Wasn't the schedule suppose to be improving?
Also what's the point of making new gohan character designs and spoiling "ultimate" in v-jump and then doing nothing? Seriously. that episode was mediocre at best in terms of animation but a really big fail in every other aspect

If Karasawa isn't around for EP82, then he may have truly left the show. Finger crossed that is not the case.Psykomatik wrote:Next week looks disappointing. I really hope Karasawa is in 82, because if he's not i'm gonna kill myself...

Yeah, totally. I didn't understand Mazingerdestro's comment. Thought he was trolling like cuartas did with Tate some time ago, so the best thing to do is to ignore them.Cursemark505 wrote:You guys are either blind or must have been watching a different episode from the one I watched
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 79
You guys didn't like the animation ? I thought the repeated frames were the best we've gotten of them in the series. It really felt like a lot of Z.
Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 79
Are we watching the same show?? Where did you see a strong off model moment? Or bad animation? Maybe it was your streaming quality because this episode felt so Z to me.Mazingerdestro wrote:Well I wasn't expecting much but....dude what a disappointment...not even a single highlight in this episode....Not even a great moment....animation mediocre at best and off model moments returned and strong....next episode doesn't look like anything special either....so Toei gave 1 good fight just so they will deliver 2 bad ones.....Wasn't the schedule suppose to be improving?

That's crazy how some of you thought this was a disappointing. This was one of the best fights I've seen in super.

I thought it was pretty great, I mean overall it was pretty conservative, but it did it super well.kinisking wrote:You guys didn't like the animation ? I thought the repeated frames were the best we've gotten of them in the series. It really felt like a lot of Z.

Except Mazingerdestro, nobody thought this episode was a disappointment. This episode was really great to me, and i really enjoyed it. Not one of the best fights in Super, but it was great.IGhostUlt wrote:That's crazy how some of you thought this was a disappointing. This was one of the best fights I've seen in super.

Yes because as we know streaming affects animation. I agree 110%. You are rightAlee9977 wrote:Are we watching the same show?? Where did you see a strong off model moment? Or bad animation? I think you're overreacting a little bit, this is Dragon Ball SuperMazingerdestro wrote:Well I wasn't expecting much but....dude what a disappointment...not even a single highlight in this episode....Not even a great moment....animation mediocre at best and off model moments returned and strong....next episode doesn't look like anything special either....so Toei gave 1 good fight just so they will deliver 2 bad ones.....Wasn't the schedule suppose to be improving?

Overreact? I just said I didn't like it.....It's not like forced it on anybody. Is everything not positive an overreaction?BakaManiaHD wrote:I think you're overreacting a little bit, this is Dragon Ball SuperMazingerdestro wrote:Well I wasn't expecting much but....dude what a disappointment...not even a single highlight in this episode....Not even a great moment....animation mediocre at best and off model moments returned and strong....next episode doesn't look like anything special either....so Toei gave 1 good fight just so they will deliver 2 bad ones.....Wasn't the schedule suppose to be improving?

I never said it affects the animation, but maybe the streaming didn't let you appreciate the full fight and missed some fotograms.Mazingerdestro wrote:Yes because as we know streaming affects animation. It's an over reaction considering this episode looked better than like 90% of super.Mazingerdestro wrote:Overreact? I just said I didn't like it.....It's not like forced it on anybody. Well, they really went hard on that, all things considered. Higashide and Manabe doing some good work! A good chunk of repeated frames, but that's not inherently bad if they're well done, and they were. Lots of nice movement in the midst of it all, too!
No real complaints in terms of action, honestly. Not entirely sure how that could have been even remotely disappointing to anyone. If there's anything to complain about, it's the constant changes in art style and quality.
I found it very jarring. Nothing consistent there whatsoever. Some of the art in the first half was pretty bad and reminded me of #23, but the second half was better, so it's not the end of the world.
I really enjoyed the storyboarding and direction. Kohei Hatano is definitely on-point when he gets the chance. I wish his downtime episodes were a little stronger, but as long as keeps delivering episodes like these, I'm fine.
Who was that next week? Didn't get a good look, but even then, I feel like I would have spotted Shimanuki and/or Karasawa. Will have to check it out a little more clearly once the simulcast is up. Strange.

He hasn't done anything to recover his Ultimate Form yet. Since he's one of few that knows the universes will be destroyed, he'll probably train his ass off once these preliminaries are over. The design isn't for nothing.Mazingerdestro wrote:Also what's the point of making new gohan character designs and spoiling "ultimate" in v-jump and then doing nothing?
