Your Dream DB Collection

Post by Bansho64 » Sun Feb 26, 2017 4:34 pm

What would your dream Dragon Ball collection be like? What would you want included in it? Why?

For me, it'd have to be this;
-Bluebricks, all the DBZ Singles, and the green bricks.

That's it for me.

Here's mine:

All the manga volumes in 3-in-1 releases
All the anime episodes of every series
A zillion collectibles
All the video games
The movies I liked (not many)
All the Kikuchi soundtracks
Posters
"All of you. All of you must have KILL all the SEASONS!" -Dough (Tenshinhan), Speedy Dub of Movie 9.

"My opinion of Norihito's Sumitomo's new score is... well, very mixed. The stuff that's good is pretty darn good, but the stuff that's bad makes elevator music sound like Jerry freaking Goldsmith." -Kenisu

-All the Dragon Boxes (Dragon Ball, Z, GT and Movies), Super Blu-Rays and Collector Editions of BoG ad FnF.
Every anime release existing in Italy right now.
-The original japanese Tankobon, Kanzenban, and Full Color volumes, + all the Daizenshuu/Chozenshuu/whatever official guides exist. Having every single one of the Jump issues where Dragon ball originally ran would be a dream.
Oh, and every manga release existing in Italy right now. Obv.

Other than that, cards, figures, posters, videogames, or whatever. Every single random thing about Dragon Ball that I encounter needs to be mine.
Yes, even that infamous Dragon Ball Z V2 for PS2.

DVD/Blu-ray:
The Chilean DVD release of Dragon Ball
The Mexican DVD release of GT
The current Mexican Blu-rays of the movies
All seven Dbz Dragon Boxes

And a complete release of the Latin American dub of Dbz. You guys, those who like the FUNi dub, are very lucky to have so many home releases of Dbz. There's only 52 episodes available in DVD for the Latin American dub.

Manga:
All Editorial Vid's manga volumes
Panini's current Mexican release of the manga
The Spanish kanzenban

1. Complete Kikuchi OST in stereo on CD-Audio or in lossless format.
2. Complete Tokunaga OST in stereo on CD-Audio or in lossless format.
3. Entire DB/Z/GT series and specials on Blu-ray (Level sets-like remaster without crushed blacks and with more accurate colors, contrast and brightness)
4. All the movies on Blu-ray (Level sets-like remaster without crushed blacks and with more accurate colors, contrast and brightness)
5. Properly translated manga with properly colored stuff that was originally colored (the one I have is grayscale, crappy quality - at least translation is good)
6. Original manga

That's pretty much what I care the most.
It's a shame that 5/6 of it does not even exist...

  • The original printings of each Dragon Ball chapter published
  • The originally aired recordings of Dragon Ball's anime adaption
  • Dragon Box The Movies
  • A complete soundtrack (in any medium, yes) with references
Of course, I'm likely to obtain more than what's listed. Those are simply "the essentials".

Mine is pretty boring, I don't have the same lofty goals as everyone else;

-42 Volumes of the manga (already acquired)
-Jaco (already acquired)
-Dragon Ball Super Manga
-Various releases of the entire anime.
-Dragon Box Movies

I think that's it. Not much interesting about it.
Retired.

If it's a dream collection why not go all out?
Every Dragonball merchandise ever made neatly arranged into a dedicated room..

Honestly, all I want is a complete home release of the Latin American Dbz dub. It doesn't even have to be a Blu-ray release. Just all 291 episodes on DVD.

The problem is that there's only 52 episodes of the Latin American dub of Dbz available on DVD. As popular as Dbz is in Latin America, we don't have a complete home release, and we probably never will.

The things I'd most immediately like to have that I don't (nor do I have space or money for them right now) are a run of the kanzenban and various Toriyama/Dragon Ball art books.

Really, that's all I'd want outside of whatever the best home releases of the anime are. I'm not huge on collecting memorabilia.

Most Dragon Ball (Z) Movies and TV Specials from Portugal and the complete anime series from Japan w/ subtitles. The english version of Battle of Gods and Resurrection of F and the Portuguese manga. Most of these are only a matter of getting up on my ass and start collecting.
