Not as canon as Goten/Trunks. *winks*

I also hate anything with too big an age difference: Goten/Bra, Trunks/Pan. It's just way too creepy.

I subscribe to the 'a good writer can make anything good' and 'a crappy writer can make you want to gouge your eyes out over anything' school of thought.

That being said--Goten x Bra. Just... sense not making! I can buy 'Oh, Pan has a hopeless crush on Trunks!' I can't buy anything ever coming of it, though, and Pan and Trunks are actually friends of a sort. Goten and Bra are not. So no.

And I just don't like Goku x Vegeta, but then I don't really like Goku and Vegeta much as individuals, so there you go. Never seen it done believably.

Other than that, meh. I'm afraid I like weird pairings, including a few slashy and age-gap-from-hell (and both... ) ones. In theory, anyway. Plenty of them just can't be fit into canon, and should only be attempted in an authorized alternate universe fic by a trained professional.

Or just, you know, avoided like the plague.

Agreed on Tenshinhan/Lunch. I don't mind the Yamcha/Bulma breakup, though I wish they'd been a bit nicer to Yamcha.

Ah well, it lets me ship Yamcha/Puar.

Uh. I had that and a bunch of other generic DB/Z pictures on my wall.

I loved it because Tenshinhan looks hella good in that get-up. Yamcha having his hand around Tenshinhan's shoulders strikes me as awesome. I've always loved their relationship -- as friends, duh! -- especially considering how they started out...

Any romance between them is just a fun crack thing I like to indulge in.

Ahem, another fan pairing that I actually have a problem with is Cell/Freeza. I think that came around because they got close in Hell. Anyway, it doesn't sit right because Cell is made up of Freeza's DNA along with the other warriors.. It's like incest, in a way.. o_0

My position has always been that for shapeshifters, gender is irrelevant.

I've heard that in the anime, sometimes they just male and sometimes female forms of addressing, but I have no idea if this is true or not.

I saw this thread and thought it had been necroposted. Then I looked at the first post and realized it was started in the past twelve hours.

Lezee. Trunks/Pan was strongly implied in a fic that has become the post-GT centerpiece for the fanfic-verse for which I need a name so as not to confuse people, and it really didn't bother me when I read it since it seemed to be the accepted thing at the time.
Then I made the timeline to try and figure out where all of those fics could fit together, and it turns out that completely by coincidence the OC that got with Pan was the same age, while Trunks was like 14 years older. Unless the Pre-GT RPG that is currently in progress ends with a 10-year timewarp... I'll gladly run away.

And Goku×Vegeta.... I just don't understand. Actually, thinking about some of Vegeta's dub reactions to Goku in the later Buu saga makes me think Vegeta doesn't like the idea either.

Wait, what am I talking about... I don't think I've ever been particularly into shipping fics. Though having some blatent "x has a crush on y and maybe they eventually get together" storylines with that not as the main focus works, I s'ppose... since... you know... it's hard to find a lasting story without such a thing. THen there's stuff that finds its way to projectafter.
And from the looks of things, I should be glad that my ability to see fanart declined to futility around the time I discovered how much of it there was.

Never heard of Super Z. XP I've just seen a few fan arts (a couple of which I've turned into avys... hmmm.... I am getting tired of transforming Goku.....) as well as seen it in a few fics (including my own The Darkness Overcomes You fanfic).

And yeah, the AU thing was about the only reason I wasn't laughing at the idea, but only Vegeta was AU. Yamcha was supposed to be series Yamcha so it's still a way out there idea.

And really, I skimmed more than skipped. Yaoi's definately not my thing but I loved the rest of the story and didn't want to completely miss out on the character developement. So I just skipped "the icky parts".

I also must admit that the initial inspiration for The Darkness Overcomes You came from Kindom Come, but it got twisted and altered into something entirely different by the time I finished planning it. XD

Oddly enough the incest pairings don't bother me so much. Of course, the Yaoi one's are pure ickiness far as I'm concerned. And the fics can never be written believabley (save one where Gohan and Pan had somehow lost their memories and much sex ensued XD) but the art looks damn good!

I'll admit that Mirai Trunks and Mirai 18, within the normal universe, is definately out there. But with the proper twisting it's more easily made believable than some others. I'd believe a Trunks/18 pairing before a Trunks/Goten one, for example.

Goku/Vegeta. It irks me a bit as much as the Harry/Malfoy thing. (Yet I have no problem with Bardock/King Vegeta. Go figure).
Bardock/Seripa. CANNOT.TAKE.IT. And those who imply that Seripa is Goku's mother bugs me even more. X__X
Trunks/18. I never really understood this pairing.
Bra or Pan/17. Same as above.
