I generally dislike pairings with age differences and with the same sex because noone of the heroes are really shown homosexual, you know?
But I would accept Chao-zu and Zarbon since they are gay in a way.
They even portrait Chao-zu as a home-wife in the anime where he cooks food for everyone. His explenation is that he cooks for Tenshinhan when he is training. Like an old-fashioned wife.

I don't really mind most fan pairings, I'm certainly guilty of enjoying a good share of non-canon pairings for other series; Dragonball is one of the few series where I don't really wander away from canon too much off into yaoi land ^_- I guess I could say I'm a bit annoyed by GokuuxVegeta, since it seems pretty out of character for both of them. Most other pairings I find more amusing than irritating (and I mostly only stick to reading pairings that I already enjoy, anyway).

Some non-canon pairings that I find intriguing include TenshinhanxYamcha (I've been watching the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai episodes recently....holy crap, that was some hot rivalry/sexual tension ^_^), and one-sided NappaxVegeta (like, Nappa is in love with Vegeta but knows he can never have him....soooo out of character, but watching Season 1 made me think of it as a possibility ^_^)

It's actually quite a common thing in fanfiction, especially written by teenage fangirls. (Big suprise there!)

Worst pairing I've ever seen? Pan and Mr. Satan. I kid you not. ><

I'm not a big user of internet memes, but that was a case where I wanted to yell, "KILL IT WITH FIRE!"

This reminds me of that Mr. Satan gets a powerful artifact and goes insane fanfic that appeared at the end of a dream that had its own otherwise independent plot (though it was db related, hence seeing a fanfic at the end). There was a scene near the beginning where Kuririn and Tenshinhan were coming up out of a barrel of cream or something... and it was supposed to suggest Yaoi-ness, but it turned out they were looking for something that KameSen'nin had dropped.

And, yeah, I'm seeing the term Sexual Tension thrown around in ways that prove to me that I don't know what it is. Though I probably shouldn't ask since I'd probably start seeing it everywhere.

Sorry, that was years ago at FF.net. They'd have removed it by now ever since they put in that stupid "no NC-17" rule.

And I must admit, that last bit really threw me for a loop. You'd buy Mirai Trunks and Mirai 18 before "normal" Trunks and Goten? Well, obviously, I completely disagree with THAT sentiment

but I really am interested in hearing why you feel that way.

I think that GokuxVegeta tops the list of anime pairings I hate with the heat of 1,000 suns, followed closely by AsukaxRei and EdxAl/Roy/Envy/Anybody else who's not Winry

. I only will read gay stuff if it's intended to be funny and the author's intent is "These characters would never do this, so let's see what happens in the situation."

Also, for TrunksxPan, there's a 14 year difference. I know that happens, but it still strikes me as all kinds of weird.

I never would have made that connection... I came to hate that scene in the anime. ><; No wifey stereotypes plz. XD Plus, I always imagine Tenshinhan doing all the cooking, sewing, etc.

Agreed. Admiration does not have to equal romantic love. Sometimes, I think society places way too much importance on sexual love, as being the only legit form of love.

I tend to like platonic relationships best. ^^

I don't really agree about your opinion. I used when I was younger to write a little fic about these pairing...a kind of puppy love if we can say! My fanfic take place just after the Cell Games and anyway...It was juste...cute and stupid at the same time lol!

Like most of people, I cannot stand homosexual relationships...But the weirdest pairing I have ever seen is Master Roshi/Goku....Oh Come on...T_T Imagination have limits sometimes...

I have to agree with Thanos6... Trunks and Goten actually have a great relationship and are practically glued at the hip up until GT! Mirai Trunks killed 18! Trunks/Goten is way more likely. Goten has girlfriends but they always dump him, and Trunks is there to pick up the pieces XD.

Anyway, it boils down to the way their existing 'relationships' feel. Trunks and Goten comes off as 100% platonic best friends, nothing will ever happen there, ever, without a lot of AU personality shifting. Meanwhile, they say there's a fine line between love and hate. I see it as taking a lot less shifting for something to come up between Trunks and 18.
