If we do get a story mode, I hope that we get a what if story mode similar how Super Sonic Warriors was.

That would be awesome. I loved Super Sonic Warriors story mode. Hopefully it won't stop with Buu but will also have some of Super.

If this looks like Guilty Gear Xrd, it's going to be the Dragon Ball fighting game I've always dreamed of having. Hopefully they'll do a One Piece Fighters next.

This looks very promising. I found the Xenoverse games a little dissapointing in their execution and gameplay so I'm very excited for this new direction.

Arc System's Guilty Gear and BlazBlue fighters have always had amazing soundtracks so I'm intrigued to hear what they end up doing for this game.

This is really interesting. I bought Xenoverse day one, played it once and after years of following DB games and forums since the lead up to Raging Blast 2, gave up on Dragon Ball games for good. I'm an optimistic person by nature, but you can only take so many disappointments before you learn.

And suddenly, as I begin to give more attention to the DB franchise I love once again and take peaks at the gaming forum, a genuine Dragon Ball fighter is announced, breaking the stream of what's come to be the typical over-the-shoulder DB game.

Now I'm no fool to get too excited, but the sentimental in me can't help but proclaim, that this period of the last few years, commencing with Battle of Gods, might just turn out to be truly, in all ways, a Dragon Ball Renaissance =D

I tried to like Xenoverse, I really did, but I just couldn't and I had to go back to the PS2 titles to get my fix.

This couldn't have come at a better time for me.

It certainly has my interest. I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm kind of glad that it doesn't look like another Xenoverse game. Not that I have a problem with the Xenoverse style, but I like the idea of a more traditional Dragon Ball fighter.

I really liked Extreme Butoden, and I'm REALLY hyped for this game. I don't want the same Raditz-Boo, I don't want a Xenoverse What-If game. In my world, I wish for the game to go Piccolo Daimao-Zamas.

Plenty of Dragon Ball "Z" games included DB and GT characters, it doesn't mean anything. The Z is a prominent symbol in DB merchandising, it's not called "Dragon Ball Z Fighter," it's called "Dragon Ball FighterZ," there's a difference.

I wouldn't worry about the Z, there are plenty of Z branded games with DB and GT characters, we'll probably still get a few Super characters.
Besides, it's technically not a Z branded game, since the Z is part of the subtitle. I think most expected it to be a Z focused game, but that doesn't stop us from getting some Super representation.

That title has kind of a "Totally radical, dude!" feeling about it. I would have just preferred Dragon Ball Fighters, but I guess they had to tack on the "Z" for better brand recognition, especially in the west.

Jokes aside, I really liked the logo. Gives a "Street Fighter" vibe since the logos are somehow similar. I expect this MvC clone to be better than the actual MvC4. Instabuy indeed

Dragon Ball Heroes currently version is called Super Dragon Ball Heroes, so this is totally possible and fits the Street Fighter titles trope. Arc Systems should do it

I'm all for that, mainly if the bold part refers to Dragon Ball Online. I think that's the only way to please everyone, a good gameplay for those who just can't stop crying about it but also with an awesome content and story!
