Yeah I think you have to be into at least your yellow health bar.Sasuke_Chidori wrote:I know, I was just trying to make a point. And don't you have to be at around 50-66% health, and get hit with something powerful before you get battle damaged anyways? I'm pretty sure you can't be battle damaged at 100% health.

You mean 500. To me it was reasonable for a blu-ray player if I was going to want some PS3 games. I see no problem with it's blu-ray either after I calibrated the TV.
We still have no idea if the game is gonna be good. No need to complain about what system it is or is not on. At the moment I couldn't give a shit if a 360 exclusive because I wouldn't know if it might even be good yet. (360 is the only next-gen I don't own, hence the comment)

Probably. But the awesome content doesn't necessarily = good playing experience (Budokai3 is loaded with awesome... but I can't really enjoy playing it.Humpski wrote:GASP!caejones wrote:Personally I like the first Sparking (haven't played Neo)...
You haven't played neo and you like the crap fest that is the first Sparking game?! Oh man, are you gonna be in for a treat when you play meteor. It looks like it's gonna be way better than Neo, and neo was great.
You are gonna play meteor right?

From the looks of Meteor, it could go either way for me. And I'll probably have to wait until December to play it anyway.

Concerning PS3: Game+system=at least $500, more of the cluttered space for games in my house (Let's see, six TVs and how many game systems attached to each...?

... and my video game-worshipping cousin has concluded that the ps3 is the stupidest thing ever. I won't pretend I didn't ... help...

Nah, not worth it. I'm not sure that anything but the most perfect DBZ game of all times would be worth a ps3. And even then...

Pushing aside the fact that I never plan to get a PS3, I'd be hoping for a Dragon World exploring RPG, maybe an Action RPG, with full reigns to do whatever the hell you wanted. Budokai 4 would also be nice, and with the power of next gen, they should really be looking to up the destruction factor, for example if you fire a Kamehameha in the city and it misses, I want to see crap explode!
Haha. Yeah. Gotta have those afros.Furu wrote:It has afros. That's about all the depth I need.
But I hope it's at least as cool as the "City of Heroes" character creation.

360's still not so hot in Japan though. I don't know why, they seem to love everything else that's American made.Gaiash wrote:Whatever it ends up as it had better not be PS3 exclusive if it wants to sell copies. The Wii and 360 are the big top selling next gen consoles.

PS3 is outselling 360 on a week-by-week basis in Japan, and PS3 is closing in on 360 in US on a monthly basis. Despite PS3's price, lack of overwhelmingly awesome exclusive software, and general lambasting of the console and company... it's starting to outpace the the 360. Note that these numbers will probably be skewered in the 360's favor more once that Halo 3 shit comes out... but I digress.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

And then FFXIII will come along and the PS3 will sore up in sales until it's just short of the Wii. I seriously don't see Nintendo losing first place this generation unless Sony or Microsoft slash prices massively and score some sort of uber-cult-smash-hit-new-classic that steals the Zelda fanbase... or something. Though, I love how the PS2's numbers are better than the 360's.Note that these numbers will probably be skewered in the 360's favor more once that Halo 3 shit comes out... but I digress.

<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

We're getting horribly off topic here but I can't resist.Xyex wrote:And then FFXIII will come along and the PS3 will sore up in sales until it's just short of the Wii. FFXII isn't PS3 exclusive anymore though is it? Oh boy if it's on 360, Sony will lose out BIG time...
On topic though!
I always thought a create a character would have worked well in a DBZ RPG, but in a fighting game would be great.
Customizable body types, hair styles, control over muscle mass, height, eyes, mouths, etc, and most importantly, what type of attacks you want (Beams, Rushes, Balls, etc) and what colour they are, I'd like a big green Kamehameha...just because it's different.
(Heh Big Green...)
People greatly overestimate how much Final Fantasy moves a system. The series sales have been pretty much consistently downhill since VII, and multiple FF games sure haven't helped the PSP any.
Let's put it this way: The Dynasty Warriors franchise does ridiculously well in Japan. The latest one for the PS3 topped out at about 500,000 copies sold and as far as I know, it's still the best selling PS3 game.
Anyway, I imagine a character creation system depends entirely on one thing: Does Akira Toriyama have time for drawing the character designs?

Hey, I entirely forgot I had an account here. AGAIN.
