Starting in October, TV Asahi will be moving two of their Toei shows, Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, to the 9AM hour (with Pretty Cure remaining at 8:30AM). Now, what's the significance towards this? TV Asahi's morning block airs on Sunday mornings, from 7AM to 9AM (though the 6:30AM slot would sometimes be the start time, varied when it was there or not). By the fact that TV Asahi is moving two of their Toei shows to 9AM, we have an interesting problem on our hand. Not only are these produced by Toei, they are also produced by Bandai (as well as sponsored by). This is a problem, because on the other channel, Fuji TV, runs Dragon Ball Super and One Piece at the same time, both produced by the same studios (with Bandai also being a sponsor for DBS and OP).
What I'm thinking to likely happen is that Dragon Ball Super (and One Piece) are likely to change time slots come this fall. We recently had a shake up at Fuji TV a couple months ago, as a new head of Fuji TV took over. We were also under the impressions that major changes were coming to the network (particularly starting in October). So given TV Asahi's moving of two of Toei's shows, as well as changes coming to Fuji TV, it's looking like a time slot change is coming.
Where it could move to, is anyone's guess. I suggested maybe DBS and OP could move to after Sazae-san later in the night (7PM hour), which is where One Piece used to being after the first time slot move. The only thing in the 7PM hour is an ungodly long Variety/Comedy show, which I could see Fuji TV probably shortening. But again, likely anyone's guess as to where these two shows will be moving to.
Again, if you see news of these two shows moving time slots come around Fall, it's not because they're doing bad. Just there's changes coming to the network.
Could be great if Super switches to a more mature time slot, having more freedom to show some M for mature content again like in Z, but...maybe you've forgot two details that bring, sadly, this dream to die:
1)As far as we know, from now til October, Super could be over. If the tournament is the last arc, then we'll leap in Eoz, I predict for it to end late September at the latest
2) Super is a show for kids, so this second point is linked to the first one: his slot could be occupied by another show cause we'll have no more Super in October
A change in target will not happen for Super, chances are higher if they ( and we'll have this 100% sure) will go past eoz with a brand new show with another name
