I haven't, but I hate blatant stupidity, so it doesn't really matter to me.Hawk9211 wrote:If you have read Basako's previos posts then you will know that either it is sarcasm or he is trolling.Scsigs wrote:I know he won't see this because he said he's gone from here, but, um, Toyotaro has to follow the general plot outlines & plot points that Toriyama gives him. Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

It already had stopped being promotional material at a certain point. And Toriyama has given Toyotaro the right to change things up and add his own ideas. It's like you haven't read any Super manga related news since 2016.Scsigs wrote: I know he won't see this because he said he's gone from here, but, um, Toyotaro has to follow the general plot outlines & plot points that Toriyama gives him. Agreed. He was the most interesting god of the new bunch to me so I hoped we'd get to learn something more about him. Plus he is so evil looking but is the god of the destruction of the justice universe so that is pretty interesting as well. Lol, though. I'll now never be able to see Vermound without a harem of women surrounding him.FortuneSSJ wrote:From the scans I saw, I can say I love Vermoud's characterizon here! I had so much expectations for his character, but Toei didn't do anything interesting with him.
I love how he's surrounded by girls like a pimp and he didn't hesitate to attack Sidra, even though Sidra was helping him during the fight.
Regardless if he turns out to be a guy that cares about justice in the manga too, this is a much more interesting approach to his character. I assume Toyo likes him considering his avatar in social media. I will take this as his apologize for have ruined Goku Black and Merged Zamasu in the manga.
I will judge the rest when I read the full chapter, but seems to be far above the joke that was the previous chapter.
He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

Just saw the full chapter, can't wait for the translation
I love that they acknowledged 2 Zenos, since I don't remember the gods ever even wondering in the anime
A lot of dialogue, this looks good

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
There's a ton of dialogue, the translations can't come soon enough.
This chapter is all about knowing the Hakaishins, we even get to see some of their homes that's pretty neat. I'm glad that we get to know them a little better.
Apparently they all turn against Beerus because of Goku. Beerus is able to hold them off somewhat, it might be because of his "move without thinking training" and his battle smarts. Fight isn't over, Belmod has quite a personality it appears.
Again he need translations to fully evaluate this chapter, there's a lot and I mean a lot of talk.

Yeah i think that Beerus move without thinking against the Gods
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Well at least with the full chapter it doesn't appear Bills overwhelmed all the gods. He's clearly one of the strongest but he struggles anyway.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Of course he didn't. The people flipping out over those 2 pages are the usual suspects who join the thread solely to whine about how much Toyo sucksNamz wrote:Well at least with the full chapter it doesn't appear Bills overwhelmed all the gods. To hell with the usual suspects. This thread should be for either fans of the content or legitimate critics thereof. The no-substance shit-talking has to stop. Basako likes the manga though. His last posts calling it a piece of shit were more him mocking what usually happens in this thread, which is shit flinging and people trolling. Or something, idk what went on but I do know he likes the manga and has legit criticismsDuo wrote:To hell with the usual suspects. Eh, I don't think the manga needs any defenders since it can stand on its own merits.Duo wrote:To hell with the usual suspects. My apologies for not picking up the subtext on that post, then. I can appreciate parody, but the post that pissed me off swung far beyond readable context.OLKv3 wrote:Basako likes the manga though. That's not what I'm talking about. Just looking for a reasonable discussion.TheMikado wrote:Eh, I don't think the manga needs any defenders since it can stand on its own merits.

This fight is probably the way they'll determine what Universes are going to participate in the Tournament of Power. Sidra goes out first, so Universe 9 is considered the weakest, Beerus and Champa next and the last one out will be Vermoud. The other 4 are then going to be excused. Pretty cool thing to do, I may say.
I'll wait for the translation for the full story and giving full thoughts, but I don't think there's much going on here that you can't pick up from what we already know. Fun chapter. Loved seeing every God of Destruction's place, all are pretty awesome!
However, on a purely technical level, this fight must be the worst in the manga yet. There's not only literally nothing interesting going on in it, but it fails at basic composition. Simply put, there's nothing good to look at there and there are some obvious continuity errors (they're usually fine, but here they were kinda noticable and took me out of the action), which is sad, since everything pre-fight is very well made and well above Toyotaro's usual average.
This makes me a little concerned for the actual Tournament, but last arc Toyotaro stepped up his game a lot for the actual final battle, so I have faith in him to deliver on my expectations.
Love the pacing though. Glad nothing is being rushed. It's going to be interesting to see how things move forward during the recruitment. The Exhibition Matches were something I was thinking are surely going to be skipped, but they're in and with a twist, so I really want to see how that will go. Will be fun to see Goku vs Toppo in this version too! A less straining Mastered SSB should be pretty fun to watch in action!
