Yeah, no.
Why not? This is a usual trope of the series :)

Dragon Ball Super is an animated sequel only and it's manga just serves to promote the main product. It has no correlations with the original manga that ended 22 years ago.
Sure Toriyama has involvement in the series, but still debatable since we have two different interpretations of the story, we know Toyotaro has free will for his own ideas and the same could be said about Toei. We also know a time ago Toriyama was dissatisfied with the series, wanting to leave and Toei had to provide him ideas for a new arc. Toriyama explicitly stating Dragonball Super being a "complete continuation" of Dragonball from the Majin Buu arc contradicts you.
It is "canon" cause it totally continues Toriyama's Dragonball manga that ended years ago.

Toriyama statement had nothing to do with canon, people can say GT was continuation of Dragon Ball and that would not be wrong either. This franchise has no official stated canon and he's not the only entity that owns Dragon Ball, but Toei Animation, Shueisha and Bandai. It's not canon because references filler material including things like anime only characters, in fact the only canon Super falls into is "Toei canon" which includes the anime. This own series existence contradicts some statements in the original manga or we can say we're watching a series about characters relaxing in "10 peaceful years"?

I don't think so. People criticize because they expected better than a Broly copy and a Mary Sue of the so long awaited female Super Saiyans in the franchise.

Canon means authority. The authority, which is Toriyama, has already defined what is Dragonball.
Dragonball Super is Dragonball, according to the author himself. His word is all that matters.

I disagree with your argument. Kale in particular has evolved past being simply a Broly homage, and is now a totally separate entity and only shares a similar form.

Caulifla is getting forms that are severally outdated and largely outmatched, even amongst the fodder. She's willfully arrogant which is a character flaw not associated with a "Mary Sue".

Actually canon is another word for official and is used to differentiate what should be considered the official storyline and what is not. Personally I don't think Toriyama really cares about canon to begin with. I think he just wants to make something he likes that his target audience can enjoy. Even with him acknowledging that these stories are not present in the original work, but may have happened it doesn't change the fact that there's no stated canon in the franchise and the original 42 volumes remain untouchable. He hasn't come out and said "this and that is canon, but this and that isn't" like Lucas did with Star Wars e.g

I dont understand the comparisons of Caulifla and DBM Bra, the latter is very unlikeable.

Caulifla just behaves like the typical delinquent character, just give her a heart-breaking moment which would force her to change like it did with the JoJos.

Not at all. They're incredibly weak, boring chatacters that spit in the face of all those training arc/development in DBZ. You're damn right people are going ton dislike them and for good reason. It would be so much better if they didn't exist.

Piccolo who got free powerups, Goten and Trunks turning SSJ for the "lols" and also took part of the worst DBZ movie ever. .

You can't even compare piccolo to the girls. Him fusing with Kame was one of the biggest moments in the show and really make the character come full circle. You can't even compare anything from this arc to it.

I think it is more that many that Dislike Caulifla, Kale and I will put in Ribrianne as well just take it to far and to personal. It is like they see these characters are wreaking balls to their Dragon Ball Mythos and Ideals and don't want that to be done to what they think is already good.

But you see that is the Thing, it is just their opinion, maybe the other side of Fans Like Use See it at Wrong to view Caulifla, Kale and Ribrianne in that light, but really what is wrong and this is the major thing is that dislike of them is not Majority, it is not Universal, but many try to make it seem like that. What fans need to realize is that not matter now many you find that agree with a View, their are VASTLY more Fans then we will ever know, buying products, giving ratings and even giving opinions in 101 ways about Dragon Ball that are all Good, Bad and Even on characters like Caulifla, Kale and Ribrianne.

Theirs is no majority opinion, not big wave of dislike that many think their is. We are just 2 Groups of Fans, One side that are not found of Caulifla, Kale and Ribrianne and the other side that to different degrees LIKE Caulifla, Kale and Ribrianne and we all are just a small part of this ocean of Fans that are a mix of views and opinions we will never all know no matter how hard we try.

So I think we all need alittle humility in all of this and understand that while we are firm and proud in what we like and believe in, we cannot move what will happen in Dragon Ball not better then anything else.

We are just Uatu the Watcher from Marvel Comics, that can observe but never participate in moving where this is all going, we are along for the ride.

We just need to learn we enjoy this ride in different ways and at different moments.

Yes it has. As said before Toriyama is not the only entity that owns Dragon Ball rights. Toei and Bandai says that GT and Heroes are also Dragon Ball, Toriyama saying it's not (which he never will) don't change the fact these products are also part of the franchise, just like Super, but continuity is another matter and the author saying things like "movies are an alternate reality" and "GT is a side-story" doesn't mean they are "not Dragon Ball" either. These products were based on a weekly manga that ended 22 years ago, it had no continuation, what came next were animated sequels, movies, specials and a promotional monthly manga.

This is sure to blow up the internet for a bit, but remember when we learned Freeza would be replacing Buu and it looked like the shark jumping moment? How wrong we were.

Will this fusion be able to use Kale's Berserk form? That would actually make her pretty formidable. Potentially able to challenge Jiren even.
Wrong? We weren't wrong. It was certainly a shark jumping moment.
Yeah, well you're in the minority on that. For many, he's been the highlight of the arc.

Same with Goku Black in Future Trunks arc. That's kind of my point; Super has this uncanny ability to spin gold out of seemingly bad ideas. Making an evil version of Goku. Bringing back Freeza after fans had already gotten sick of him. Hype up an hour special about yet another new Goku form fighting a spandex-clad Give-Way sign. These have all been some of the shows best decisions. Even their female Broly, the closest they've come to actually botching one of these crazy ideas, has at least developed into a better character than the over-marketed Gary Sue she's based on.

So now when they decide to introduce a fusion of their female Broly, and another character who many think has already gotten too many powerups in such a short time, all I can do is lean back and smile. "Alright, where to next coachman?"

There is a simple way to break this down:

Look at Star Wars. The movies are the primary canon, but when Lucus owned the rights, the EU was considered 'canon' until proven otherwise by the movies.

After Disney bought the rights, Disney made it clear that the EU was not canon. It doesn't matter if the fans liked it or still considered the EU 'canon'. Disney, the people who owned the rights, have spoken.

In the case of Dragon Ball, the canon of Dragon Ball as dictated Toriyama is the manga, along with Jaco, and now Super (both manga and anime), all stuff he directly wrote or have major influence in. Also the two movies written by him, but that falls into limbo since Super retold them even if the broad stokes are the same.

Everything else like GT, the original 13 movies, and even the 2008 special are the EU like Star Wars.
