I'm curious on how can toyo handle the battle royal?
He gonna have to get rid of the fodder immediately to get to the good stuff

There will probably be a lot of eliminations he won't show in detail, I imagine up to 4 panels at most.pacz360 wrote:I'm curious on how can toyo handle the battle royal?

I imagine Toyo using something similar to what Mashima used during Laxus' attack to the Fairy Tail Guild:some kind of narrator text informing us the amount of the remaining fighters.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
We'll probably get a main fight like Goku vs Kale and when it's over we'll get something like "Kale is out, alongside 3 fighters from u9 and 2 from u6".dbgtFO wrote:There will probably be a lot of eliminations he won't show in detail, I imagine up to 4 panels at most.pacz360 wrote:I'm curious on how can toyo handle the battle royal?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
It really depends on how he organizes the royal rumble.
I assume we won't have the holding back stupidity to create artificial drama and extensive focus on Goku for no apparent reason. Which mean instead of having Goku clearing people and struggling, Toyotarõ can have people like Kuririn and Tenshinhan clearing the weaker people, Goku and Vegeta maybe struggle with groups of opponents with special abilities and/or above average opponents who spike their interest.
He might even make at least one character per one Universe that "God Tier" or close to it giving people like Hit, Vegeta and the likes actual challenges.
One thing I hope is done is trimming the field by clearing characters that can't handle the shock waves of two juggernauts fighting. The anime has missed this, it's a pretty useful method and looks great.
It's certainly a challenge and it depends on how Toyotarõ will organize this arc.

If I were him, I would show many of the useless fighters getting ringed out just in one panel.pacz360 wrote:I'm curious on how can toyo handle the battle royal?

The numbers of pages of each chapter will be longer and the arc will be many chapaters long.pacz360 wrote:I'm curious on how can toyo handle the battle royal?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I know this sound silly but i want to see all 80 character eleminated on screen,an elemination with narirama/kale rampage or with jiren and goku fist clashing causing a shockwave that eleminate three or two people. He could also do a quick match in 3 page while something important is happening.
Mostly active on discord.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
In general, a battle royal is easier to show in a manga than in an anime for several reasons. One Piece also had a battle royal, although smaller than 80 people at once. The anime tried to replicated the manga to mix results.
Although in fairness, the One Piece battle royal was mostly thugs fighting, while Dragon Ball has mostly trained fighters.

Plus with One Piece, the majority of the fighters were generic goon fodder so you don't have to worry about focusing on a large amount of characters.HeroR wrote: Although in fairness, the One Piece battle royal was mostly thugs fighting, while Dragon Ball has mostly trained fighters.

Doubtful to the first, likely to the latter. I really don't think he's going to have more than 45 pages a month and if so the absolute limit would be 50, I imagine. More chapters overall? Yeah seems very likely.namekiansaiyan wrote:The numbers of pages of each chapter will be longer and the arc will be many chapaters long.pacz360 wrote:I'm curious on how can toyo handle the battle royal?

Tbh,after seeing the anime version.I don’t mind if few characters are knocked out off screen.I especially want the yardrat, tuffle and someone from other universes get more focus.Would love to see a battle mage other than darcori or technique oriented character other than hit and yardrat.
Why power levels are important?

If he can actually make it look like a battle royal where the fighting is constant and tension is always up. It'll easily be better than the anime.pacz360 wrote:I'm curious on how can toyo handle the battle royal?

The battles have to be quick and intense between heavy hitters, fodders can be used for strategic aid and sneak attacks to help powerful teammates.
However fodder characters of the Z Senshi like Kurrin a Tien should get respective one on one's.

If he eliminates fodder off screen, what's even the point of making it a Battle Royale? Every elimination should be shown. If he really doesn't want to focus on everybody, he should just take useless characters out in like two chapters of chaotic fighting then move on to the more coordinated fights between the main players.

Read the manga now with tramslation. Great chapter.
But wasn't there a contradiction in it?
When Goku said I am not even close to their level (the GODs) I thought oh no is he that far away. But when he fought Toppo he turned ssj god/ blue, then a GOD said something like he is on our level.
So what is it now how strong do you think Blue goku is in the manga?

When Goku transformed in SSJ God, Helles mentioned that now he is as a god, which is probably cause of the aura. And later while fighting Toppo, Iwan said that the fight is at the level of gods. So, it was never really mentioned that he is as powerful as a god. Goku vs Beerus was also a fight at level of gods, but Goku was/is still weaker than Beerus. It could just mean that 2 godly powers are fighting eachother.Pannaliciour wrote:Read the manga now with tramslation. Great chapter.

But Iwan said the battle is already at the level of US gods. He is referring to himself and the other gods.IM21 wrote:When Goku transformed in SSJ God, Helles mentioned that now he is as a god, which is probably cause of the aura. I do think they're differentiating from deities, (Kais, Supreme Kais) and GODS (the GoD's).
I'd say there's still at least a 20-15% difference between Goku and Beerus, (who seems to be at least in the top 3 most powerful GoDs,) which would at least be enough for Goku to put up some defense against a GoD, and therefore have a fight at the level of one, but still end up losing. Though honestly, am I the only one who gets a vibe that Goku or Vegeta could probably beat Sidra?
Like, sure Goku couldn't keep up with the fight, but it was TWELVE GoD's doing a free-for-all and not even Zeno could keep track. And Goku maintained composure from hearing Rumsshi's roar.
