The awkwards poses had like a few seconds of screen time overall - mainly Goku in base form back flipping and some zoom out repeated frames sequences, when Goku and Caulifla were fighting with punches really close to eachother. lmao. I strongly disagree about the clothing folds, it doesn't even need to be 100% realistic, it just needs to be convincing that the characters are battle damaged without it having to look too crazy and snappy, it looked really good lol I'm sorry but that clothing complaint was one of the most ridiculous ones I've seen. What's next? Hair lines in SSJ don't make sense? It looked just as good as the Goku vs Frieza fight in the Resurrection of F special. The reused animation was also a few seconds of screen time with Yashima's cut in episode 100 and Goku vs Hit in episode 39. I agree that reusing Yashima's cut was a bad move because why reuse mediocre animation?JulieYBM wrote:Ah, yes, I'm being picky. You have succiently dismissed my post while framing yours as reasonable. Bravo!precita wrote:I thought the episode looked fine. Some people seem extra nitpicky.
Assholery aside, what the hell is the point of being in this thread if you are not going to have some standards? "I'm going to the internet--a tool for learning--to learn, but not actually let any sort of knowledge inform my opinions!"
This is nowhere near good directing or good animation. It's nowhere near 'just fine'. Characters are moving awkwardly, characters' legs are and clothing folds make no sense! The episode director isn't intelligently reusing cuts to lower the number of necessary new cuts to give the key animators more time.
This episode is a fucking Frankenstein monster stitched together in three weeks and too stubborn to make its life easier.
And now you saying 111 had bad poses when it was one of the best elements in that episode? I correct myself, that's even wrose than saying episode 113 had bad clothing folds. Every single key pose whether it was before starting a movement, after finishing one, the still frames, characters being blasted through things and sent flying looked accuratly realistic and balanced even in the repeated frames, which is why they looked so powerful and well done.I agree, 111 and 113 are great examples of how bad posing in key frames can dilute and diminsh impact instead of accentuating it
Why wouldn't you post some examples of bad clothing and bad poses other than the ones I've mentioned?
