Isn't the Chinese spelling of "Shenlong"..."Shenlong"? The evil dragons are not Shenlong, or Shenron. The names are actually "King Long", which is different. At least, I think so.

And to be fair, I think that everyone on the planet things that they are called "Shenron".

As for "Adjutant Black", I've heard that, although I'm not sure where. I don't think he's been named in the DB DVDs I've got him on, so I can't say either way.

I doubt Julian is the only one in the world who prefers the Chinese romanizations. Personally, I've recently done a bit of reading on Mandarin and Cantonese romanization methods (more the former than the latter). But just because something is not widespread doesn't mean it's wrong or bad. Actually, incorrect info seems to spread faster than anything else...

As for adjutant, I believe I've heard it used in a military context at least once before. According to the dictionary, it makes a ton of sense in describing Black. I thought it might even be French-based, to be consistent with our other French-based rankings, but my friend says it's more related to Latin adiutans (from which French adjudant probably comes anyway).

Oh, and the GT dragons are Xing Long, not King Long.

Though, King Long would be unquestionably cool. It means "Star Dragon", instead of "God Dragon", because they're each based on the Dragon Balls. The words before Xing are the numbers 1-7, Ii, Liang, San, etc.

Heh. Kinglong is the human name of Qinlong in the story I wrote once...

But anyway, it seems there is always a disagreement of how names are spelled/used on this board. I mean, I personally use dub terms most often, because most of the time, I'm talking to someone who only knows the dub terms. But when I'm not, I use the exact Japanese name that I've found, I.E., Black Hosa, Yellow Taisa, etc. I use Tares rather than Tullece, because that's what I see more often in Japanese context. And everyone knows Amond's name is supposed to be Almond, so I use that.

BTW, Julian, why did you keep "Cooler" on my list, but change Meta-Cooler to "Metal Coola"?

Dayspring: Bora killed Yellow's troops, but not Yellow himself. Goku went through the plane and blew it up, saving Upa. So natrually, wouldn't you assume he was dead?

Goku didn't kill Metallic, Metallic's batteries ran dry. If someone had replaced them, he'd be "alive" and kicking.

As for how to spell Tullece' name, it originates from Lettuce, so Tullece is a good way to spell it.

Well, I know VERY little Chinese, but as far as I know, the "X" is pronounced close to "SH", right? So, is the "i" pronounced anything like the Japanese "e"?
