Yes, you are an ass, you've been an ass, and you'll apparently always be an ass, what considering I never said that anyone was wrong about anything. The fact that you even bothered to make comment on that specific part of my original post in the first place, in the way that you did, just further proves it. Especially when I stated that was commenting specifically on what I'd read of the thread (which was a majority of it, I skimmed through a lot fewer posts than I'd thought I had).Olivier Hague wrote:You don't read the topic before replying "you're all wrong", and I'm the ass? Whuh?
And since when have I ever refrenced the manga? Ever.Olivier Hague wrote:I just checked the manga, and there's nothing about that, as far as I can tell.
Ah, yes, there you go again, claiming I said things I didn't and being an ass. Way to prove me right.Olivier Hague wrote:Well, we're morons, remember.
And I find this highly amusing as I've seen you repeat previously stated information and ignore information.Olivier Hague wrote:You mean some people don't bother reading before replying? How rude.
I probably dreamt that one :Xyex wrote:Yes, you are an ass, you've been an ass, and you'll apparently always be an ass, what considering I never said that anyone was wrong about anything.
Well, please read the topic before replying? It's not like it was 30 page-long or anything...I stated that was commenting specifically on what I'd read of the thread
Filler? And since when have I ever refrenced the manga? Ever.
I must have dreamt that one as well :Ah, yes, there you go again, claiming I said things I didn't and being an ass. Way to prove me right.Well, we're morons, remember.
Such as? If you're talking about "I think he expected Gokû to defeat Freeza, but got worried when he saw Freeza arrive and still no sign of Gokû", that's just one sentence, y'know? And that wasn't exactly the main point of my post.I've seen you repeat previously stated information and ignore information.
Which would be pretty easy, since the "topic" ended about halfway through.Supa Saiya-Jin Tullece wrote:And I just read this entire topic in like 10 min.
And since when has that meant wrong? I just means someting was being over looked. I never said anything about people being wrong. You're the one that always thinks they're right about everything.Olivier Hague wrote: I probably dreamt that one :
"Ok, I skipped over a large chunk of this thread just now to post this because, at least from what I read, everyone's missing it."
And obviously you don't pay attention to posts or have any common sense. It wouldn't have mattered if I'd read everything (and, as I've said, skipped was a typo, I skimmed the remaining posts, which were fewer than I'd first thought at that) because I was specifically commenting on the first several posts in the thread. The only change would have been me saying I was commenting on the first posts instead of saying I'd skimmed the last several.Olivier Hague wrote:Well, please read the topic before replying? Don't know, don't care, and it doesn't matter. If it's not directly contradicted by the manga it's still viable. All that matters is that he looked at his watch and mentioned the tracking satelites following the pod.Olivier Hague wrote:Filler?
And since when has sarcasm = calling someone a moron? I was merely pointing out he spent the time to count how long ago he'd made his post just so he could make a completely pointless post.Olivier Hague wrote: I must have dreamt that one as well :

Yeah, you weren't being condescending at all. You weren't being an ass at all. That was just my imagination.
Oh, come on...Xyex wrote:And since when has that meant wrong?Olivier Hague wrote: "Ok, I skipped over a large chunk of this thread just now to post this because, at least from what I read, everyone's missing it."
Yeah, you just said that you read a few posts, saw that people were "missing it", and assumed that nobody would get this right anyway, so you decided to stop reading (almost two whole pages! who could blame you?) and reply in order to finally set things straight for us.I never said anything about people being wrong.
Please read the topic before replying. It wouldn't have mattered if I'd read everything
I didn't know the TV series referred to satellites (and the manga doesn't tell us what Trunks' watch does exactly). Interesting, if possibly improvised by Tôei without Toriyama's input. All that matters is that he looked at his watch and mentioned the tracking satelites following the pod.
Oh, come on (bis)...And since when has sarcasm = calling someone a moron?"*claps* You can count, I'm so impressed."

Yeah, I'm sure he spent a lot of time doing that. And of course his criticism was "pointless".I was merely pointing out he spent the time to count how long ago he'd made his post just so he could make a completely pointless post.
Thing is, you did ignore my post and several others when you replied "everyone's missing it". Oh, the irony. This is the reason I generally ignore your posts anymore. Should have just done it again.

I would have reacted in the same manner even if I hadn't posted anything in the topic, so I don't think it has anything to do with ego.Ya okay, he should have read everything and not assumed people hadn't clued into something when some already had and posted it. I can see being a little irked by that, but you know what? Grow up and drop the ego.
Did I say you? I was referring to Majin's posts the whole time. I even quoted the guy. -_- The only part where I was mentioning you was the inclusion of everyone keeping this argument going a whole page, which now I'm being pulled into. Therefore I'm stopping here. I should have continued refraining from posting since I had a feeling this would be the result. But well, I suppose I'm just a foolish optimist.....as the paintings in that famous Monty Python skit would say, "I'm off." Have fun everyone and bring me a souvenir!Olivier Hague wrote:I don't follow you. Who was acting like an ass, here? Okay. I apologize if I hurt any feelings, but the fact that the man (?) decided to step in as though he was "King Logic" and dazzle us with something that he felt we were too dense to ascertain was somewhat insulting. I mean, really, it takes some sort of ego to break in and go, "Well, I didn't read a large chunk of the thread (which clocked in at a massive 1+ pages at that point), but here's what you guys couldn't get."Jerseymilk wrote:Olivier, while I agree that Rob really should have read through the entire thread before assuming anything and replying, I consider Majin's response to him, uncalled for.MajinVejitaXV wrote: Yep...everyone's missing it. I was unaware that my statements could be taken as egotistical. I merely teased Xyex for breaking in with his great epiphany when it had in fact already been stated. Does this mean that if someone chimed in and said, "Hey! I haven't read any science books or anything, but the Earth revolves around the Sun!" I would be an egotist for stating that such information was commonplace?Ya okay, he should have read everything and not assumed people hadn't clued into something when some already had and posted it. I'm not going to, I'm simply going to state that people are being idiots. I'm fully willing to admit when I'm wrong, but here I'm not. It's incredibly ignorant to march into a thread, submit an answer with an air of arrogance that is completely unfounded, and then get defensive when people point out your mistake. Moreover, to have others try and act as though those who were insulting to begin with are the antagonists is even more amazing. And for the record, I'm saying that *everyone* should let it go and drop the argument, so I would please ask that you don't accuse me of playing favourites here.
Er... Well, yeah, but you started your post by addressing me, and you were referring to MajinVejitaXV in the third person... So when you then said "you", I thought...Jerseymilk wrote:Did I say you? I was referring to Majin's posts the whole time. I even quoted the guy. -_-
Guys it's okay, like I said, I'm not trying to lay the blame all on one person. Yes as I said, Rob should have read the thread right through, and I understand how it could come across as insulting on your end. I was just trying to explain things from *all* sides and wanted the arguing to stop because it was continuing and just getting worse. And Majin I know that you're a reasonable guy most of time just the post came off that way. Once again with the internet, it really is next to impossible to communicate the way something's meant. Always frustrating.-_-Olivier Hague wrote:Er... Well, yeah, but you started your post by addressing me, and you were referring to MajinVejitaXV in the third person... Oh, well. Sorry about the misunderstanding. ^^;
Oi... is that really how it came off?MajinVejitaXV wrote:Okay. The issue is that instead of simply mentioning it had been brought up earlier and then continuing on with the topic the replies were just people being asses about it just for the sake of it.MajinVejitaXV wrote:I was unaware that my statements could be taken as egotistical. Except that htere was no 'air of arrogance' or anything of the like. It was just a post. The arrogance did not start until Olivier's post. I didn't get insulted, I got pissed off by egotistical replies I got back that tried to claim I was saying or implying things I wasn't.MajinVejitaXV wrote:I'm not going to, I'm simply going to state that people are being idiots. Which would have happened had a not gotten jackass responses I did.MajinVejitaXV wrote:Had Xyex merely said, "Hm, I'm sorry. I didn't know people had already said (nearly) the exact same thing I did," this whole thing would be a non-issue.
Yes. You basically explained that you decided to reply without reading the rest of the topic (and it wasn't that long, really) because you didn't expect other people to get it right based on the few posts you had read already. Which is both illogical and arrogant.Xyex wrote:Oi... is that really how it came off?
