If I'm not mistaken, the Yahoo! Japan secondhand auction is decent for Dragon Ball media.

Just know that the Japanese bluray has neither an English dub nor English subs. If you want to hear Japanese Yamamoto and watch with subs, you might have to take certain measures...

Actually Parts 1-4 never had Yamamoto. And some copies of Season 1 have Yamamoto on them too. But the Australian Part 4 has Kikuchi on it.Nejishiki wrote:rashid19961 wrote:So the blu ray version have some of the yamamoto music?Yes, but be certain you buy the correct release. The series singles had Yamamoto, but the season sets didn't, barring the first one. I do see where I erred though. I wasn't clear and implied the widespread release the majority would buy had Yamamoto at all.simtek34 wrote:Actually Parts 1-4 never had Yamamoto. How do you add the Yamamoto audio to the Parts 5-8/Seasons 3&4? Would to be possible to add it to Season 2 of Kai?

AAC audio is incompatible with DVD and Blu-ray. I wish these had been exported to AC3 at least.

There seems to be an issue with the download. Parts 7 and 8 don't contain parts 7 and 8, only copies of part 6.

Seems to be working for me.Shaddy wrote:There seems to be an issue with the download. Parts 7 and 8 don't contain parts 7 and 8, only copies of part 6.
I bet you could convert the audio with Audacity or something like that.clutchins wrote:AAC audio is incompatible with DVD and Blu-ray. I wish these had been exported to AC3 at least.

Yeah, it's working now. I swear this was really something that happened, though.

I wanted to try putting my own music for the Kai episodes just for fun. Do I need the Blu-ray or can I just download the episode from elsewhere? Also, I found this: https://mega.nz/#F!9d4jkYzR!CPlPL10_HQw ... Q!pA5nWDQa Can I just download the silent files and put music on them? I'm confused.

Thanks so much for taking your time restoring Yamamoto's score to this. I went back through Kai a couple weeks ago since I'd been away from the Dragon Ball world for a while, and came across this awesome project. I was finally able to watch the Artificial Human/Cell arc for the first time with its intended music. I prefer the original Japanese voices in general, but no complaints from me here. Thanks again, SuperSaiyanHedgehog!
Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai: Yamamoto Revival (Parts 5-8) - COMPLETED!
Has anyone tried to do the same treatment with the Japanese version?
I'm Watching Dragon Ball Kai via the Japanese Blu-rays, and when I reach Ep. 77 the change in soundtrack it's going to be a little jarring.

I'm pretty certain that due to the Japanese only being stereo, it's impossible. You're best bet is finding HDTV Raw Streams (no recompression) of ep 77-95 (96-98 have never been released with Yamamoto in Japanese). Good luck.
Heh, I would have preferred it if the Yamamoto Revival used lossless extracted Blu-Ray audio (if it doesn't already) but released it in a lossless, Blu-Ray friendly format (LPCM, DTS HD-MA, or Dolby TrueHD). Doubt it's happening now...clutchins wrote:AAC audio is incompatible with DVD and Blu-ray. I wish these had been exported to AC3 at least.

Hey i posted here a long time ago and would know if you now have an idea how to fix the yamamoto score to the final japanese final episodes 96,97,98? It would be great if you or someone else here could rip the music score of these episodes and fix the yamamoto score in , even if it is not perfect like cell
I would do this by myself but i have not the tools for it
Sorry i'm from germany

Unfortunately, due to the fact that the Japanese audio is mixed in stereo, there nobody has had any luck isolating the voice and sound effects. Fans have been able to do it for the English audio because it's mixed in 5.1 and the center track audio keeps the voices and sound effects mostly intact.Tojima wrote:Hey i posted here a long time ago and would know if you now have an idea how to fix the yamamoto score to the final japanese final episodes 96,97,98? Man, that would be amazing. The Yamamoto score for that scene really lets down that version, but this perfects it. It's totally different in tone to Z, but it's Kai anywayForte224 wrote:Hey, great work again on these. Could I make one request? Any chance on the episode that Goku goes Super Saiyan for the first time you could leave the episode as is with the Yamamoto score but edit in Super Dragon Soul? Here's the video that made me want to ask: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9u6Yaw1zFo
I literally can't believe they didn't use this instead of A Moment for Shuddering

Man, I love that this was done, it's just the music is slightly too loud particularly in non-combat situations.
