How is that a meh? Like come on dude, who would've thought that Goku and his arch nemesis (Freeza) would one day fight as allies against an enemy (although, DB Heroes did spoil me) but to actually see it in fruition is a dream come true and not to mention just spectacular in terms of writing. This creates an environment of unpredictable nature and uncertainty.

We don't know whose going to win. Will Goku and Freeza win? Or will Jiren come out as Victorious ? Whose going to win the title of MVP? Whose going to get the Super Dragon Balls and what will they wish? Will the series end in a cliffhanger or will things return to normal? There are so many questions and this makes it interesting. But, I guess that's your personal opinion (hehehehe, I just needed an excuse to write this, no offence)

Damn I'm confused why they keep mixing and matching outfits for Goku. He had his Turtle gi in Yo! Son Goku OVA, his Cell/Majin Buu gi in the Super manga, his Battle of God's gi in the Super anime, Ressurection F gi also in Super. Now he's rocking his Namek gi in this movie.

Has it finally happened? Is the ending of Super also the end of Yamamuro? If so, the this is great news for the future of the franchise. Super ended and we’ll have somewhat of a drought, sure, but the movie is looking like it’s going to be good and when/if they make a new TV show, it will have new character designs and better production. It’s a good time to be a DB fan.
Heroes come and go, but legends are forever.

Rest in peace.

Dammit, I never knew this until now and I can’t stop thinking about it.
Why I use "Geran" instead of "Jiren"

I actually like this. It's only natural that he would switch his outfits up every one in a while.

It's only odd for me because Goku is the only one really changing clothes. Vegeta has had the same clothes for 10 years since the OVA and besides those 2 everyone else hasn't really changed at all.

Maybe I'm low key salty that they haven't used the EoZ outfit or GT outfit yet lol

Yeah, that is quite annoying. I actually made a thread a couple of months ago about this. Everyone looks the same since BoG even though it's been a couple of years in-universe. It's odd that characters like Bulma, or even Yamcha, who are known for changing hairstyle every arc, are now stuck in their current looks along with everyone else. Vegeta should also get some new armor, the RoF one was good, too bad they changed it

The "wait until the episode" mantra wins yet again, unsurprisingly... those spoilers were indeed full of shit.

So, judging from the photo, UI Goku dominates/keeps up with Jiren, then runs out of stamina and U7 wins by numbers? I mean, I guess that makes sense given Jiren had been conserving his energy (i.e. sitting around doing nothing) while Goku had been battling the whole damn time... I still would have preferred Goku getting a clean win, but whatever.

Well, yeah, I never expected to see this come to fruition, mainly because I never wanted it. Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta, Android 17 & 18, and Majin Buu are enough. We don't need another frenemy, especially not one that happens to be widely considered the most evil villain in the franchise.

No. Just...no.

A team up for survival, with Frieza betraying everyone at the end would be nice though. But knowing this series, he'll be all like "Don't forget, we're still enemies," cross his arms, and smile, before departing. Ew.

Just turn Freeza like Loki from the Avengers, and problem solved.

Seeing this picture made me happy since I was reluctantly willing to accept Goku going out for reasons. Now at least, he teams up with Freeza before going down and UI isn’t just overpowered after all the build. Although, Goku losing to stamina is also lame since this plot point was used for Vegetto Blue and Omen, if that’s how Goku loses to Jiren.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Still way better than Freeza becoming pals with Goku and the gang, man.

Ah, just like Hit. Hopefully not.

Honestly rather just have him be a part of the crew.

This picture has restored my faith that they won't completely screw this ending up. Perhaps my butthurt whining was all for nothing. Because I can live with Goku not winning (even though I'd still be annoyed). I just didn't want to see ULTRA INSTINCT Goku just straight up lose to Jiren. But this image implies that Goku merely ran out of time with UI before he could finish the job, and then him and Freeza put on one final desperate assault to try and finish him off. And at that point, although it isn't exactly what I wanted, I'll at least be somewhat content. You can't always get exactly what you want, I just thought that the way the spoilers phrased the information sounded insulting and horrible in every way.

Also, perhaps I'll come off like a dummy here, but is there any chance that they intentionally lied in the spoilers to throw us all off? The phrase "Goku has fallen" always seemed extremely blunt, almost too blunt, in that sense where in a show, the narrator or a character says something that's supposedly true, but it actually just exists as a decoy to surprise the audience later.

Maybe he actually does win...? Yes? No...? Ok, sorry. The Goku fanboy in me has a sliver of hope, and I'm a damn fool for it.

Well, me and others did say we should wait to see how Goku loses before we burn down Toei's headquarters. I never got the impressing that Jiren would just body UI Goku and I strongly suspected that UI may just run out. I know the NEP can be misleading and can't be really trusted, but bulky, glowery Jiren wasn't doing that well against UI Goku.

To split hairs, the spoilers only said Goku falls off the arena, not that he was eliminated. Several posters did point that out, but I wasn't willing to buy it since similar arguments were made for Gohan and Vegeta. That and the final song of the CD for Super didn't match the spoiler either, but I wasn't willing to believe a track title that may not even play in the show since that CD has a lot of unused songs.

Yea, I will openly admit that I got a little carried away with my ranting about the spoilers. I had already been so down on the show lately, and that was kinda the final straw for me, so I broke. But maybe they'll somewhat nail this after all. And yes, now if I had to guess, I say Goku "wins" the fight in 130, but runs out of energy just before he can do the final blow, and then Freeza pops in to save him at the end, with them continuing in 131. Then what happens from there....I've no clue, because the spoilers have already been proven to be wrong with this image. Who knows what could actually happen now.

I wouldn't say wrong so much as purposely misleading.
