Hmmm... Rossum snags the roll of Bulma eh? Well I think she is a far better fit than that one Mexican actress, Camila Sodi. I am pleased with yet another casting for the DB film.

Geez, news on this just keeps comin'! Do you think their main objective right now will be to just do a couple scenes in order to at least get a trailer out? Just a thought.

Also, did you notice in the article confirming Rossum's role that they mention the film being shot in Mexico and LA? I guess no more Canada, then?

Of course that the point of making anything in business is earning that GODDAMN WRETCHED MONEY!!!
But there are two kinds of movies:
1. The movies which ONLY objective is profit, and they don't even care how it will turn out, they just mix it as fast as they can so they can sell it sooner... Or translation - Hollywood movies.
2.Movies where creator put his soul effort and style in it...

Also I am trying to find the logic in this sentence:

Personally for me, everyone who can possibly want this movie is not DBZ fan at all, he probably saw just another "Awesome anime" in it... So I can say the same for you + I can find the logic in it.
And that is not the only thing that takes to ruin it, but it is the pretty much most horrible way to ruin it...

Even as a sarcastic comment that's still just sad. Very very sad.

First and foremost I thought on drawing style! And then on everything else...
How the hell actors can be all
sharp-edged?
so spiky & stable hair?(though hair can be done theoretically)
Trianglish eyes?
little pointy noses?
big sharp-edged muscles? etc...
That is far most important aspect for me...

I don't even know what to think of this anymore.

The one major thing I avoid like the plague in fanfiction is AU's that take place in highschool.

And yet where does the movie take place?!

Stupid. Stupid highschool.

I just hope this isn't too embarrassing of a movie. And I hope they limit their "highschool" time to as bare a minimum as they possibly can.

It would, and I am. It would be funny if it happened, and a nice little nod to the original material, since the prospect of the ACTUAL Kinto'Un being in the movie is not likely.

I most certainly beg to differ, good sir! In fact, I might go so far to suggest the opposite, that fans should accept and try to enjoy this movie.

@Chu: Please deary, calm down. The onset of the Buu saga happened to have a highschool setting at the beginning too, but it was nothing more than a starting point for the rest of the story's events. I sincerely doubt the highschool element will be any more than a mere initial backdrop for the characters.

I find your optimism refreshing Kaboom - I can't find much good to say about the movie as of now, but you are right in saying we don't know how good/bad it is until we actually see it. I'm just keeping my hopes low.

Honestly, I don't care what they do, no matter what this will never be DB. Live action and Dragonball just don't mix. The story sounds ridiculous...namek ninjas? Oi.

First of all, you really need to work on your typing. Reading a post should not be cause for a headache due to grammar....

That said, your points are invalid. Hollywood movies are just that, movies. A lot of good movies come out of Hollywood. A lot of sucky movies come out of Hollywood. A lot of good movies come out of everywhere that isn't Hollywood. A lot of sucky movies come out of everywhere that isn't Hollywood. See the trend?

Are you kidding? Do you not realize just hilariously awesome it would be for Goku to have a yellow scooter with "Nimbus" emblazaned on the side? I would love to see that because it would be a hella-awesome nod to the series. One of those nice little "Well, we couldn't work in Nimbus but we didn't forget it!" touches that just makes you smile.

So... if I dicphered this properly.... you hate the movie because it looks nothing like the anime/manga and would still hate it even if ti was written by Akira Toriyama himself and had the greatest actors on the planet and became the best movie of all time.... just because it doesn't look like the anime/manga. Riiiiiiight.

And lastly, Chuquita, just because it has a highschool backdrop to start with doesn't mean it's going to have anything to really do with the highschool. I've got a fanfic with the characters in highschool that could have easily been done without the school since it barely even mentions/shows the school but I used it as a meeting grounds and focal point to kick start the story.

Well that your "I want", "I love" means nothing to me, nor describing your passion for DBZ at all.
I LOVE(ADMIRE) DBZ! I too like everything about it and I too wanna enjoy all things that are DB, BUT DB! NOT THAT ARE HOLLYWOOD BULLSHIT!!!!!!!

If it is not like DBZ in most of aspects, than it is not DBZ at all, which does not mean it must be bad.
However If original creators change something, it can be better of course(though today that is really rare case) but if some stupid greedy humans from Fox want to change it in their pure-commercial profitable way than it will be crap of course.

BUT in this case, I don't know how can this be going better?

and this info proved that, not only this movie is not DBZ in any aspect, but that this is one big parody...which is actually horror for me...

So you understand? if you love and want something soo much different than DBZ and totally accept it as DBZ than:
1.you don't like DBZ like it really is, you just like one naked story and nothing else(not even that because this movie screwed up even story...)
2.you have very very low perception...

But I still respect your love for DBZ, because you obviously like DBZ in some way, but that way is obviously not the same like the mine.
After all my definition of fan is this:
"The one who truly & purely love something, regardless of number of wallpapers, action figures, and other stuff..."
So probably you are fan even for my definition, but just like I said, we don't like DBZ for the same reason.

I was also thinking about Bulma hitting Goku with the car. They definitely should keep those small nods to the original series.
