Loving how Freeza is looking, it almost looks more like fighterz Freeza then anything else IMO. I feel like the art direction in super gave Freeza more typical human-like body proportions. I prefer Freezas to have a bigger head like he did in the old series. I do agree with other users that his expression is a bit weird in the 3rd picture though. I've been rewatching some of the fights from Z and I do miss calm faced Freeza, he scowls way too much nowadays. All in all looks great! Really digging the Jackets on Goku and Vegeta as well.

I'll be mad if Freeza is just in the movie to job to the new villain in order to hype him up and I'll be equally mad if they end it with a Goku + Freeza team-up. Or if he gets killed off this movie.

Do something new and interesting with him or keep him out.

So what would you propose they do with him if neither of those?

I'm not a writer, but I think it would be interesting if the movie has two plots. One plot following Goku vs the new threat and the other following Freeza's antics, then the two subplots converge at the end somehow hinting at the next movie/story arc for the new anime series. I think that would be a good way to incorporate Freeza into a new story. If his role plays out like how I mentioned, it'll just end up feeling shoehorned.

Honestly, I would like them to follow-up on the Freeza/U9 connection (even if it's most likely just an anime-only thing) and have him find a way to go to U9 and try to get high up in the hierarchy there, since he knows it's impossible in U7 with Goku and Beerus around.

We've seen him job to the new threat like 4 times in the ToP and him teaming up with Goku was interesting and well-done in the tournament because it was fresh and new; doing it again wouldn't be as special.

I doubt that Freeza's just going to give up on controlling the gods. His plan was first introduced in Episode 95 of Super. It was brought up again in Episode 112. He missed his opportunity in the Tournament of Power, but now that he's alive again he can pursue his goal without having to worry about being sent back to Hell (unless if he gets killed, of course). It's also worth mentioning that Episode 95 was directed by Tatsuya Nagamine, who also happens to be directing this upcoming film.

Exactly, it was a potential plot point for the future especially since Freeza came back alive, if he stayed dead post-ToP then yeah it's a different story. Like how UI was touched upon ResF but wasn't brought upon until 3 real life years later.

I think people were mislead by the shape of Freeza's eyes in the big picture because he is snarling in that one , but in his profile you can clearly see that his eyes are the same when his expression is neutral. I think he looks mostly the same even with this new style. What I reallu like though he's got eyeliner around the entire eye, not just the lower side. Always bothered me to see that in the series.

Also, I can now see that Chirai's eyes are pink and Remo's eyes are yellow. I was wondering why their overall designs didn't include the color of the fruits they were supposedly named after, but it might just be their eye color.

I wonder what the “but...” for Kikono is for. They mention that his power is small so maybe its that he is secretly really powerful or maybe he has some special ability or transformation. In DB Minus, he was Freeza’s right hand and the one who not only helped him in the destruction of Planet Vegeta and its cover up but he also talked to him about the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God legends. Maybe he’ll be the one to provide insight on Freeza and the past between him and the saiyans.

Here’s to hoping that not all the new characters are gonna be so skinny. Heck, I’d even take a fat character. Anything but those twig like characters.

I actually think that the 3 new character designs were Toriyama drawings and not Shintani’s adaption for the movie. They just don’t look like Shintani’s but definitely look like Toriyama’s style. Maybe Shintani’s adaption will give them a little more weight and thickness.

I also, noticed how they emphasized how Chirai is the only female of the 3 introduced “this time”. This definitely means we’ll get more female characters including, preferably a new female saiyan. Or maybe between this the T.o.P and this movie is a considerable enough time to age Pan and Bra up a bit. And maybe even the U6 girls saiyans, Kale and Caulifla if they’re in the movie (which i hope they are).

Re-jog my memory what role did the yellow dude play in Minus, again (I don't remember much of Minus!)? Let's hope Toriyama forgot about Minus and this was just a subconscious design re-use...

After doing a little bit of research, I am almost certain that we're going to see a trailer drop on the 20th of July. Back when 'F' was coming out, the first trailer dropped on the same day that pre-release tickets were available to purchase. With that logic, the same can be applied here with this new film. Pre-release tickets are available to purchase on the 20th of July and a trailer drops on the same day along with the website updating.

...Or I could be totally wrong and the website just gets a tiny update so people can buy their tickets. The only reason why I'm not 100% certain that we're getting a trailer is because it does seem a tad bit soon to get one, but then again, this movie does seem to have been in production for quite a while, so I guess it's not too far fetched? I was expecting to see a trailer in August, but this pre-release ticket date has me thinking differently.
