The manga in generally has been consistently better than the anime. Better choreography, better characterization, and better writing all around. The ToP especially is much better than the anime’s slog of an arc.

I enjoyed Goku being a child in GT. His chemistry with Pan was fun too thanks to this.

Since Pan was a new member of the Son family, it was nice for her to learn about Goku's origins "first-hand". Going on adventures with her young grandpa was like a real life history lesson for the girl

Hell, even the writers of GT seem to think making him a kid again was a bad idea since they had him be an adult again as SSJ4 and in the end of GT.

- Toyotaro's art is little better than Yamamuro's
- Most of the Hakaishin and Shadow Dragons have some of the worst designs in the franchise.

How is kid Goku blander? He's fundamentally the same character he was when he grows up.

Nah. If they really thought he is bad as kid then they wouldn't make Baby use black star balls and they wouldn't kill Piccolo.
They basically erased the ONLY way to make Goku adult again by permamently disabling black star dragon balls.

I don't find the Yamcha memes funny.
I loved GT Goten's hair and I hated EoZ Goten's hair.
Cabba's transformations were worse than Caulifla's transformations in the anime. I take tingly backs over getting SSJ2 because some random person called his "master" a chicken.
I also prefer Caulifla and Kale over Cabba. Caulifla and Kale are much more interesting and entertaining. Cabba is boring.
I didn't hate Ribrianne, in fact, I actually found her quite amusing at times. Her fights were also pretty entertaining and well animated.
I don't like Fat Buu and I was happy he wasn't in the tournament. I just think he's annoying.

I'm curious, too.

Although he is noticeably more mature in certain aspects, Goku isn't a far cry from when he was younger.

That aside -- as much as I love SS2, SS3, and Omen to a degree, I despise the excessive usage of the Super Saiyan/God forms. I would prefer if Goku - or any character for that matter - were to focus primarily on strengthening their base stages instead of being reliant on transformations.

Another unpopular opinion:

I would love to see Paragus being the main villain of the new movie. It would bring a new twist, instead of duking it out with Broly.
Perhaps through some DNA modifications/Experiments.

Even better if he turned into a genetically-enhanced Oozaru.
