And so B riseth from the grave to shine down upon thee his off-topic geekiness~.

A year or two ago, in Japan, they made an MMO called ".hack//FRAGMENT" which was pretty much a simplifid and beta-ish version of The World. People could make their own charactrs, play with each other, exchange e-mails, etc. But since the online stuff was free, it only lasted a year before going offline, and they've said there are no plans to make another one. But people can still play solo, though without the online stuff.

.hack could have succeeded, but, I guess it just didn't have what it takes. On the other hand, I'm sure dbo will.

That's what I was saying. One Piece already IS an extremely good series, as good as or better than DragonBall in and of itself. But as it isn't as old and as much of a "classic" yet, thus it doesn't have the same widespread notoriety.
And I think 4Kids can get most/at least some of the thanks for that.

The Funi dub does a whole lot more things right, but has a lot of editing for its timeslot compared to the Naruto dub, which airs an hour earlier than it does.(I do like the Japanese themes w/english vocals, though. :D )

A month long bump.

This MMO was probably canceled. Nothing with this much notoriety wouldn't be updated if it could be updated.

I think they're scared to tell the fans...

Well, the game's official website is still up. It might still be alive.
Chalk it up to the fact that the game's closed beta is in Korea, and possibly held back further by standard non-disclosure agreements...

Or maybe it's canceled. I d'no.

Sometimes these things take a while, even in America. Check out Star Trek Online. It's been in development since '04, and with the exception of a few concept art photos, their's only been 2 official screen shots released.

I really hope it's not canceled...this is the first online game I would have had any interest in trying.

Of course it's going to be Japanese. But, maybe Atari will get ahold of it and we can have an American release as well.

Or maybe Bandai Namco will do a worldwide release, regardless of ataris license.

If they can get the advertising right, yeah.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I hope so...cause if no english version is released, it is IMPOSSIBLE to play such games.

Incidentally, I've already played an MMORPG only released in Korea, Digimon RPG Online.
The dedicated fans in America made an English patch. So don't worry about not being able to play it if it doesn't get an English release.

Not really. As mentioned above, a patch could be made. If not a patch, at least an FAQ in English made by someone who plays the game could be made.
