And so B riseth from the grave to shine down upon thee his off-topic geekiness~.
A year or two ago, in Japan, they made an MMO called ".hack//FRAGMENT" which was pretty much a simplifid and beta-ish version of The World. People could make their own charactrs, play with each other, exchange e-mails, etc. But since the online stuff was free, it only lasted a year before going offline, and they've said there are no plans to make another one. But people can still play solo, though without the online stuff.

And I think 4Kids can get most/at least some of the thanks for that.SSj Kaboom wrote:That's what I was saying. One Piece already IS an extremely good series, as good as or better than DragonBall in and of itself. But as it isn't as old and as much of a "classic" yet, thus it doesn't have the same widespread notoriety.backthen wrote:Its far from matched, once you've been going strong for 25 years and still as popular as ever, then you can match with dragon ball, and in my opinon, Dragon Ball Online, will be the epitome of all mmos.
The Funi dub does a whole lot more things right, but has a lot of editing for its timeslot compared to the Naruto dub, which airs an hour earlier than it does.(I do like the Japanese themes w/english vocals, though.

Well, the game's official website is still up. It might still be alive.
Chalk it up to the fact that the game's closed beta is in Korea, and possibly held back further by standard non-disclosure agreements...
Or maybe it's canceled.
I d'no.
Sometimes these things take a while, even in America. Check out Star Trek Online. It's been in development since '04, and with the exception of a few concept art photos, their's only been 2 official screen shots released.

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Incidentally, I've already played an MMORPG only released in Korea, Digimon RPG Online.SuperVegito17 wrote:I hope so...cause if no english version is released, it is IMPOSSIBLE to play such games.Kendamu wrote:Of course it's going to be Japanese. The dedicated fans in America made an English patch. So don't worry about not being able to play it if it doesn't get an English release.

Not really. As mentioned above, a patch could be made. If not a patch, at least an FAQ in English made by someone who plays the game could be made.SuperVegito17 wrote:I hope so...cause if no english version is released, it is IMPOSSIBLE to play such games.Kendamu wrote:Of course it's going to be Japanese.
