Is it even possible to stretch like that without snapping a ligament or something?

Ah, of course, silly me.
Hmm...the screens do look very nice, though they do have some of the problems that people mentioned, but I bet those will be ironed out before the final release. My only question now is for myself - why do I keep reading this and commenting on it when I don't even have a PS3 or 360?

Hahaha! Yeah he does. They should have made him ball up his fists in this animation so it would be less dainty. That is one thing I have against the Budokai series that the Sparking series managed to do pretty well, and that is in the budokai series, there are character animations that they never did in the show. But in sparking, the character movements for each form, are directly from that specific character and form in the anime.Kendamu wrote:Looks more like he was bitten by a radioactive Ballerina.

[---Insert comment making a positive note about Super Dragonball Z having different animations and still being the most badass of all---]mystic trunks wrote:Hahaha! Yeah he does. I think you mean the stances, not the animations Mystic Trunks. Sparking's animations suck. The characters are sterile & lifeless showing no to little emotion. The only thing I give it credit for is how fast the fighting feels, probably the only thing it has going against the Dimps team. Oh yeah and the plethora of characters of course.

I basically mean each characters (and each forms) basic melee combos in tenkaichi are straigt from the show, while budokai's are not.Sebastian (SB) wrote:I think you mean the stances, not the animations Mystic Trunks. I liked what Sebastian said, because it is what I feel about Sparking too,
it is the truth actually.
And people are always claiming it just looks like the show
but if I recall the show are not even that fast. Of course they fight in
lightning speed, but they stop to think once in a while and I can´t do
that in Sparking meteor, just on Dragonballz 3.

That's because in reality, the Sparking series looks like how people fondly remember the show in their minds from when they watched it years ago.NECPS wrote:I liked what Sebastian said, because it is what I feel about Sparking too,

It's the same with how a lot of people remember the old Ninja Turtles for all it's Ninja action yet there wasn't really much of that after the first half of the second season.
I do like that Gohan Masenko, though.

It definitely captures the fast, frenzy fighting even more so than what Dimps had to offer in their DBZ games, & surely the 3rd person camera angle gives it an edge, but it's basically a much faster Budokai with little to no emotion or effect. Yeah, sure add 150 characters with copy, paste, copy, paste, etc., Budokai suffers from the same problems, but manages to avoid it more so than Sparking! with it's Capsule System so you wouldn't have to choose over 7 different Gokus. OMGZ.mystic trunks wrote: I basically mean each characters (and each forms) basic melee combos in tenkaichi are straigt from the show, while budokai's are not.
Really? I always thought Dragon Ball Z 3 looked exactly like the show. The Sparking! series more felt like the show to me.That's because in reality, the Sparking series looks like how people fondly remember the show in their minds from when they watched it years ago.

Maybe for you, but I commonly hear that the Sparing series is "cool" because it's "more like the show." That's why I made that comment.Sebastian (SB) wrote:Really? I can see how the free-roaming can make it seem more like the show. I kind of feel similarly about the Supersonic Warriors series on GBA and DS as well as DBZ Legends of PSOne.mystic trunks wrote:The only thing that made sparking feel like you were playing the series was the fact that it was 3D. The effects and impact and emotion were all budokais.
FU** YEAH PICCOLO.
That is all; carry on.

A lot of the animations, facial expression, & effects tend to be a bit more "dynamic". That's not to say the Sparking! isn't very animated, the character designs/models just look a bit lifeless to me. They don't tend to have that Toriyama style to it. It's like they took some of those really badly animated DBZ episodes from Toei & smacked it right in the middle of a video game.Rocketman wrote:What do y'all mean when you say Budokai 3 had "emotion", anyway?
