Because I don't want to. To do so would be shitting on TFS through a comparison they themselves did not make, and I enjoy their work and personalities too much to do that.
It's common sense to see why you shouldn't compare them.
So, despite being the one to bring up the idea that the abridged series isn’t better than the original series, to the point that you beleive that having that opinion completely invalidates the other opinion that people have. You aren’t actually gonna explain why it’s actually wrong.... joy.
I still lack the understanding of how this discussion went to the direction it did in the first place.
Exline did not even link the video. He (which he clarifies) brought it up because he noticed Totally Not Mark coincidentally used the same arguments, down to using the same pages (in which he posted here in this very thread). That was it, nothing more to it. The multiple periods in the ends, I thought, indicate such.
Yet, it somehow trigger an off-topic discussion over “you need to formulate your own arguments/opinions” (which was not his intentions), or “avoid promotional circle-jerking” (which, at this point, the video still hadn’t been posted).
Furthermore, I do not understand why, to dismiss a YouTuber’s opinion because of what he thinks on another product; it has absolutely no correlations to his thoughts about the manga: none. It is an irrelevant (and off-topic) point to bring up. Piggyback of what Shaddiy said, it would be much easier to simply ignore if one does not care about it, at all, instead of making a non-issue into, well, an issue.
Yikes.
