Wow, talk about not fitting the mood of the special.
Yeah, because a love-song TOTALLY matches the mood of the Bardock-special. (Don't get me wrong, Hikari no Tabi is a fantastic song, but it just doesn't feel right combined with all the fight-scenes they show in the credits.)
The song is about hope in the universe which goes with the ending. Despite the saiyan race being almost extinct, once child survived who will avenge his race and become savior of the universe.

Plus, that was truly the "way it was meant to be seen." :P I like "Makes No Difference," but a "punk" song (or whatever it's being classified as these days) definitely doesn't fit the mood of Dragon Ball, at all.

I'll post the images here, I just have to fix them. Sorry.

For some reason, the thumbnails from imageshack weren't showing up.

Thanks for the screencaps. The colours look pretty nice.
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

Does anyone have Hikari no Tabi? I want to use it for a project i had in mind.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

By the way, I think I am missing a few. Sorry about that.

Also, whoever wanted to see the remastered video in motion, here's a clip I uploaded to youtube:

It also has the eyecatcher/bumper thing that aired before/after each commercial at the end. I believe someone wanted to see that.

Now I suddenly understand why FUNi removed them in the old release... they were silly and they ruined the mood.

Has anyone noticed the lack of music in the eyecatches for the US version Bardock?

Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!

Has anyone noticed the added dialogue in the Bardock Special?

Taken from a user on the Funimation Forums:
When Bardock is charging Freeza's ship, there's that scene when like 50 men jump on him at once and he's still pressing onwards. Then it shows a shot of the ship...FUNi added dialogue to that scene this time..."We have to keep him away from the ship"...Was not in the original release. Then when Bardock blasts those 50 guys off and and 4 more grab him it shows the ship again and a fandom soldier this time yells "He's insane"
When that random Kannas Alien shoots one of Bardock's Oozaru men on the cheek in the very beginning and makes him bleed a bit...There's this added dialogue of "I've drawn blood sir"...Then there's the addition of this random character voice meant to be the Kannas Leader of something saying "You've done well, I'll see you on the other side"...
Then, right after Bardock gets his psychic powers, kills the Kannas and then collapses...They added even more new dialogue...As he's falling one of his men yells "Quit messing around Bardock"...then as he lays they you hear Fasha yell "Don't you dare die Bardock"

I hadn't noticed because it's been so long since I watched the original release, but thanks for pointing that out!

See, that doesn't make sense to me, Funi can add new dialog, but they are perfectly fine with having Bardock fight his way to Freeza, through hundreds of men, and then claim they are his comrades.

Those new dialogue additions annoy me. In fact, the ones that were pointed out a few posts ago were actually the ones that annoyed me the most when I watched the new dub. I had no idea they were newly added, but there was no point. I thought FUNimation was over that silly no talking = bad mindset they had back in 2000.

He never claimed they were his comrades. When did he say that?

Bardock claiming Freeza's men as his own was in the TV series, not the Bardock special itself. When Freeza was remembering Bardock resisting him, Bardock said something like, "come on, men!" I would have thought that the point of redubbing was to get rid of those dumb errors, but there are still several ones that Funimation didn't bother to touch (yet they found it necessary to add random lines of pointless dialogue to the Bardock special....makes no sense).
