2. I have the "Triple Strike" set from Funi. (First 3 DBZ movies)
More cash I can save up to buy something I actually need!
They were both equally bad, I think. Menza's music for that scene in Dead Zone was terrible, and coupled with Stephanie Nadolny's annoying "Ha"-ing and "Hoo"-ing throughtout the whole frikkin' sequence (even when her character wasn't on screen) was just too much to bear. It sucked because Dead Zone was the first DragonBall movie I had ever seen, and was my first exposure to the original music. To see that sequence butchered was just painful. It's a situation where the phrase "murdered my childhood" actually applies.Captain Awesome wrote:Menza's version of Gohan's song about Piccolo, was a fucking joke, it wasn't even music, it was just weird random noises, he fools you into thinking it would be an instrumental tune of some sort, then shits all over your face with what he ended up producing.
Probably partly because of the first reason, and partly because three movies seems to be their typical boxset number, which he just happens to have the same number of movies.Captain Awesome wrote:Was that set put out because of Broly's popularity?, or because Funimation doesn't do many NTSC movie boxsets?
I couldn't disagree more (if you're talking about the season sets), they are a layout nightmare, the artwork is cropped, the spines (in the PAL release) don't even match, Funi's original UUE artwork had much more effort put into it, it's like this time they just got the kid that fetches them coffee to do the covers.TheGreatness25 wrote:The cover art is nice, but then again, I think that the cover art and art in general (booklets, etc.) were good from day one. Mainly because they look like something that was ripped off the Dragon Box lol
Erm...I thought it would be obvious that the artwork from the Dragonbox and the 'season' sets are really different. Much more detail is put into the Dragonbox artwork. The artwork we see for the booklets and covers for the season sets are ripped from promotional artwork for video games etc. from Japan I believe. I think they look decent though.TheGreatness25 wrote:I was just talking about the pictures lol
The Cell Games saga alone has 29 episodes, I believe. Enough for it's own set.Snail wrote:That's not too bad is it? The Cell arc is pretty long anyways. But wait a minute, assuming that season 6 will have the entire Cell Games contained in one set; that leaves season 6 with how many episodes?
