It's Puar, probably.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Doesn't Puar have the same face when he transforms? At least at this point in the series? Besides, we know in the original timeline that Goku was about to instant transmission to Earth before Trunks showed up.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Goku was also wearing Yardrat clothes. That's not Goku.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I suppose Frieza is attacking Goku (or Puar), but the angle of his attack in the last panel compared to his stare in the fourth panel makes it look like he's attacking somewhere else

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
That's true... But Puar can't change his voice either, right? While we as the readers cannot hear this Goku speak, surely Frieza would notice his adversary speaking at an unusually high pitched voice. Or maybe he's too distracted by Goku's appearance to question it? I dunno, but something about the Puar explanation doesn't quite sit right with me.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Looks like Puar did his own training while everyone was on Namek.ZeroNeonix wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2019 3:02 pmDoesn't Puar have the same face when he transforms? At least at this point in the series? Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Both Puar and Oolong can make perfect transformations. Oolong as far back as OG Dragonball turned himself into a perfect replica of Bulma for the pafu pafu incident, and Oolong was kicked out of the transformation school while Puar graduated, if Oolong could do it, Puar could as well. As for his voice, who cares. Freeza wouldn't think in his head "Wow Goku's voice is weird, there's something off about him." He's going to think "Goku's Here, Die!" Freeza isn't like Cell, or an intellect, or a fan with outside knowledge of shapeshifters. He's being guided by his rage and nothing else.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
He also has the Kame symbol on his gi, which is accurate to what Puar knows, since he hasn't seen Goku's gi, since Goku got the one from Kami after winning the 23rd Tournament, while Goku's latest Kame gi had the Go symbol.

The number 1 problem fanfiction suffers from. Ignoring what was said in canon to try and tell your story.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Time for little rant, we already had Oolong transforming into Parugus in that Broly special, why reusing same strategy? Why most of these specials focus on boring fights we already know outcome of? There are some nice exceptions like Kakarotto meeting with Kuririn and Roshi, or Gast adventures after Namek Saga, but most of specials are terrible filler fights, made by people who clearly have no idea about characters in Dragon Ball or its lore (BS power levels, out of character traits)

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
The stratergy worked in both and the villians are in no way communicating to learn to avoid falling for it. That's literally not an issue.coola wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 2:36 pm Time for little rant, we already had Oolong transforming into Parugus in that Broly special, why reusing same strategy? Puar thought of seperatly or perhaps even gave Oolong the idea later!
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Well if more artists like Scarz and Arcady (artist of the 2nd Gast special) volunteered then the specials would be much bettercoola wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 2:36 pm Time for little rant, we already had Oolong transforming into Parugus in that Broly special, why reusing same strategy? Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
First time on-camera that Puar has died, isn't it?
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Technically he died 'on camera' when Buu turned everyone on the Lookout to chocolate.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Technically we don't see it in the manga

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse

Told ya.
