Does anybody have any screenshot comparisons from an Episode that isn't Episode 1? FUNi has always had a crappy version of that episode compared to the rest of the series, so I excuse the cropping on that one only. Anything from 2-291 would work, but ones that have a Level Blu-ray comparison would be preferred.

If anyone can dump a bunch of screens I can do a frame compare on my FUNimation Singles and Ultimate Uncut Editions.

Don't get me wrong, Enigmo and I don't always see eye to eye, but I gotta give it up to him for keeping things real on this one. And the little jab at Geekdom near the end was well warranted.
Was the hate for Kai largely unjustified?
Super Saiyan Prime wrote:It's an edited, cynically produced, cheap recut with a poorly utilized ancient score and awful scene recreations that later got traded in for a weird green tint.

The story of Kai's production is far more interesting than the actual product.

Glad to see Enigmo clarified in the comments that only episode 1 is zoomed in, this release is still trash, but slightly less so.

I mean personally I'd take bluriness over interlace combing ANY day. There's some during the Goku/Roshi fight on the Dragon Boxes and it's impossible for me to look past.

I'm really debating getting the blue bricks. I had the 2 disc Orignal releases which weren't bad (the compression tho) and the marathon feature intrigues me as I feel like it's a good way to watch the series

Could’ve done without the dumb memes but otherwise pretty good comparison video. It does put things in better perspective seeing thing side by side and in motion, not just screenshots.

Still radio silence from FUNi since their initial email. Do it FUNi, my credit card’s phone number is on speed dial ready to go!

Aside from some slight zoom (obnoxious zoom in the opening arc) and some poor colour grading regarding the greens, and of course DNR watercolour backgrounds, it's not that bad. It's 4:3 and has the Japanese dub, and I honestly haven't noticed any compression I don't see on other DVD sets I have.

Now all of a sudden, the arrival time changed to Thursday. Went from 11/3 to 11/7. Wow. Just wow. Well, by the time I get it, I'm sure someone else will put screenshots up. I'll just put up comparisons from other releases I guess.

Weird mine is scheduled for the 7th as well. Although the 3rd was a Sunday so they don't deliver on that day. But as for why it was bumped all the way till the 7th idk.

I just noticed on the pre order for the UK release, the figure is different. It is just the standard grandista Goku not holding the dragon ball which is disappointing as I like the one holding the dragon ball.

Almost every unboxing of this set on YouTube has the user showing their invoice which has their full name and address on it. I totally understand who bought these sets now...

Mine does indeed show my invoice but it isn't my address so I'm not concerned. Also as far as my name goes if you were to look up my youtube account and google it my name would come up anyways.

Some people are special like that.
Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.
Vic Mignogna: Good actor & singer, but a MAJOR douchebag & idiot.
