Do they mean anime as in animation ooooorrrr.....I don't know..something else? Sorry but I'm just stunned by this.
Does Mr.Toriyama going to have any part in it?

Orgasmic indeed. I think ever since Budokai 2, Budokai 3, and the little One Piece crossover the fans have been itching to see Dragonball in the 'new' animation.

Holy hell this makes me so happy. Whatever it is, however long it is, it's gonna be new stuff! Wether Pic's there or not, as much as I love him, I'll just be happy to see new animation. But having Pic do something would make my year.

The Anime News Network article says this fall. There doesn't seem to be any more specific information.

What worries me is this is for th Jump festival, it likely will be shown then, and never seen again, so we may never see it.

I would say that Funimation would certainly bring this over, but then they still haven't released things like the not-quite-OVA and some of the other random bits of Dragon Ball related animation floating around. But then, considering their efforts to constantly make Dragon Ball appear new, genuine new animation might be something they couldn't pass up. Though the actual nature of this special will have a lot to due with its chances of being released here, I'd think. If it's just a clip-show type thing, like bkev mentioned, or some sort of bit of 'out of character' animation like the Greatest in Japan Tournament thing where Goku was a guest commenter, then Funimation might not bother. We'll see, I guess.

...I don't suppose we could get Julian to tape it...
