I agree, it is pretty pointless. Where does it come from there stomach?eienmic wrote:I like it whenever anyone "shoots" anything from their mouths. It's so funny cuz it's so pointless. Who's done it before? Piccolo, Nappa, Dabura?, Dodoria, Boo?, Freeza, etc.

The Kamehameha, because I'm a sucker for the obvious choices. It's a true classic.
I second the Bakurikimaha, entirely because I love the voice clip of Piccolo Daimao shouting its name out in Advance Adventure. Does a crap load of damage there, too.
Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, just because it's so crazy. I love the manga panel where the 10 ghosts form, with them all striking poses and goofing off.
Dodon-pa, just because. Also, the Ryuu-ken, because it looks so darn cool (none of these are particulary deep reasons...).

Freeza? When does he use one of those? Are you thinking of that breath attack that he takes out those three Namekians with in the anime?eienmic wrote:I like it whenever anyone "shoots" anything from their mouths. Yeah, Daizenshuu 7's Special Attack Index lists Trunks as using the Masenko.Hero 004 wrote:I'm pretty sure it's also listed as one of his moves in the Daizenshuu.
Isn't Gekiretsu Koudan the move he used against Cell though? The "Nowhere left to run" attack that Piccolo uses against No.17 is the Kakusan Yuudou Kikouha, if that's what you're think of.SSJ2bardock wrote:That was definitely one of the coolest attack from Z. #17 never saw it coming.

Definitely the Kamehamehax10, its like the Kamehameha but ten times better....
But seriously though, I would have to say Salza's Energy Sword, Trunks's Heat Dome Attack, Goku's Instant Transmission Kamehameha, Majin Buu's Chocolate Beam, Krillins Saibaman Swatter, and Tiens/Piccolo's various Split Form techniques.
Oh yeah I forgot Solar Flare, the most poorly used attack of the century

Genki Dama - Come on. It's a classic. How can anybody hate this one?
Final Flash - Not so much of a Vegeta fan anymore, but, DAYUM. It's hard to disregard the sweetness of this attack.
Death Beam - A little simple, yes, but thats what makes it great. In the blink of an eye, you're dead.
Shining Sword Attack - Ah, back when Future Trunks was awesome. One of the most stylish attacks in series history.
Special Beam Cannon (Because the actual name escapes me at the moment) - I'm not gonna lie. If you ask me what my first real memory of my early DBZ days is, it's this attack. It was part of the reason Piccolo was one of my two early favorites.
Gohan's Burst Rush - Ok, really, it's just a straight up beatdown on Buu, but in the games, it's called the Burst Rush. Massive ass-kickage, plus a Kamehameha, all done by my numero dos favorite? Yeah. You feel me.
Instant Transmission - Not so much an attack, unless you count Goku's Instant Kamehameha. Still who wouldn't want this move? It'd save a bundle on gas, fo sho.

In no specific order, just noted for their pure awesomeness.
So..just to name a few..:
The foot Kamehameha - Ridiculous, yet logical. It totally took me by total surprise the first time I saw it the manga. It was literally a 'wtf' moment to say the least.
Final Flash - FUNi's dub version of the scene where Vegeta first unleashes this attack practically made it a favourite for me; not to mention when that episode first aired on tv, my family had just installed a brand new T.V. Everything was so damn clear it was unbearably awesome. *rambles..
Wolf Fang Fist - Awesome barrage of attacks; I love the name. Plus, Yamcha uses it.
Tri-Beam - Although it isn't exactly the most useful or the most powerful of attacks by the end of the series, I still feel as though this attack was just outright frickin' devastating.
Kaioken - The red aura is an uber thumbs-up.
On a side note, (right off the top of my head) I'd like to mention that Tenshinhan definitely beholds the most interesting ensemble of attacks up his sleeve.

Re: Favorite Attack
My favorite attack would be Gotenks's Super Kamikaze Ghosts.SSJ2bardock wrote:I just wanted to get some feed back from my peers here at the forum on their favorite attacks from DB/Z/GT. Mine personally is the original Genki Dama, you know the smaller one that Goku holds in one hand instead of charging in the sky. I also really liked the Kaio-ken, but I'm not sure that could be considered an "attack" per se.

Are you referring to the Kamikaze Ghost Attack?Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:Yeah, but Gotenks was really the only good guy to do a mouth blast (besides Piccolo, but he wasn't always a good guy).
I'm not entirely sure it can be counted as a mouth "blast" attack. At least not like the other attacks mentioned in this "genre".

No, he's talking about the blast Gotenks shoots from his mouth when he's fighting Buu as SSJ3 on Earth. It takes out a city, I believe.

Favorites? Man, I gotta think about that.
Of course there's the Makkensapo, that's what leapt immediately to mind because it's badass and it's Pic and it's just so damn cool looking and you can do it with one arm. I love how it was such a huge deal when he first uses it, and later on he can hurl them out quickly but they still look fantastic.
Masenko's close to my heart because it affirms that connection between Pic and Gohan- the idea of Mirai Trunks using it, even just in a movie gives me a lot of joy too because of how Gohan took over his mentor's role in training the kid- the sword, the masenko are just more parts of this and it's just... cool.
Thinking about it more, I don't know it's name or if it even has one, but when Pic's facing 17 and he's firing off all that scatter shot- 17 thinks he's just flailing blindly but he's not, and he shows what an awesome tactician he is when he used Juunannou's arrogance against him to trap him and bring the blasts together.
My favorite one that doesn't involve Piccolo? Taiyoken. It's short, it's sweet, and it's saved pretty much every one of the senshi more than once. Tienshin has a lot of fantastic stuff, and it makes me sad that he gets pushed to the wayside purely for circumstance of his birth. He works as hard as if not harder than all of the sayiajin. He just doesn’t have their freaking power hacks.

It's not given a name in the series, but the daizenshuu call it the kakusan yuudou kikouha, which is more or less "scattering ki blast which recombines". It isn't really a name, more a description. I think it's given one or two proper, Piccolo-style names in video games though.Velasa wrote:Thinking about it more, I don't know it's name or if it even has one, but when Pic's facing 17 and he's firing off all that scatter shot
