I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

I love attacks that give the little guy a chance at Victory...
Destructo Disk
Krillin cuts off Frieza's tail with it, and Frieza was what, 50x stronger than him?! It also would have decimated Nappa if Vegeta didn't tell him to dodge. The real underdog's attack!
Kikoho
Same deal as Destructo Disk, Tien uses it to hold back imperfect Cell. Whats the difference there? Arguable, but between 200x and 8000x difference! What a powerful attack. (Actually this gives me evidence to boost Tiens Power Level, but thats off topic...)
Self Destruct
Two notable mentions here, both of which fail... Chaotzu's kamakazi attack on Nappa, and more importantly(to me), Majin Vegeta's Final Explosion!
Kaioken
Without this attack, Vegeta would have torn Goku to pieces. Then without Goku, Frieza would become immortal and the universe would be screwed! I would love to be able to write this paragraph in red!
Body Swap
Although Captain Ginyu pisses me off, I cannot argue that his body swap is anything less than spectacular! I wonder what he originally looked like?
Time Freeze
Another annoying Ginyu Force member, another amazing attack! If anyone with decent strength could use it, they would be unstoppable.
Solar Flare
Useful for weak fighters to escape and prepare a Destructo Disk or other attack...
Theres a lot more I would like to add but that wouldn't be a good idea, this post is already too big...

I have several attacks I like but overall, I think it narrows down to three.
Genki Dama/Spirit Bomb- Mainly for the sheer awesomeness when I first saw it. Love the idea of gathering ki from everything around and using it to make a giant attack. And an attack with limits (namely how long it takes to gather it) is always a pretty neat twist. By the end Z, they'd pretty much overused this thing to death though, although I will say I liked the Universal Genki Dama at the end of GT.
Kienzan/Destructo Disc- Thought it was a very unique attack, using ki as a buzz saw to cut, instead of using a blast. One of the few attacks I see that can be useful no matter how powerful an opponent is.
Father-Son Kamehameha- Well, for lack of a better name, as this is what it seems to go by in nearly all the games and such that I have. Gohan's one handed Kamehameha, with Goku in the background was one of the moments that sealed the series as one of my favorites.

It's only used three times: against Vegeta, against Freeza, and against Buu (OK, four times counting Goku's practice one with Kaio). That's roughly once every hundred episodes. They do use it a whole bunch in the movies though, I'll admit.ulisa wrote:By the end Z, they'd pretty much overused [the Genki Dama] to death though
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?
Sometimes, I tweet things
We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

What about the inclusion of movies, he uses the Genki Dama again in Movie 7.Herms wrote:It's only used three times: against Vegeta, against Freeza, and against Buu (OK, four times counting Goku's practice one with Kaio). The Spirit Bomb is used in movies 2 (Killed Dr. Wheelo), 3 (Killed Tullece), 4 (Killed Slug), and 7 (Indirectly killed Super 13). Plus 3 times in the series (Vegeta, Freeza, Buu) and once in GT (Super Yi Xing Long) makes 8 total uses of the Spirit Bomb in the series altogether.Vegeta Jr wrote: What about the inclusion of movies, he uses the Genki Dama again in Movie 7.
So Ulisa's right, the Spirit Bomb is kind of overused as a finisher, but really only if you wanna include everything. I guess that just comes with its nature as a trump card technique.
