Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I'm not buying any of it. We've been watching Bra's interactions with her family for years, and there is NOTHING showing she's scared of Vegito. She constantly mocks him and disobeys him without any punishment.
This is just Salagir finally looking up from his Bra hentai collection, seeing all the backlash, and hastily attempting to fix it.

A kid hitting their brother is very different from them killing their brother. If your kid shoves their brother off of the couch, and they land on their head and break their neck, you'd probably have a very different reaction. Especially if she didn't seem to care at all about their brother's death, like a psychopath.JewyB wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 6:45 pmIts the equivalent of a saiyan tantrum. It's weird to assume that the immediate reaction of any adult to a child throwing a tantrum would be to punch it in the face and knock it unconscious. It's a child. Put it in a bag or something its tiny(oh and also you're the strongest being in the universe this is probably nothing to you to handle in a more restrained way).ZeroNeonix wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 11:58 pm A kid hitting their brother is very different from them killing their brother. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
What's weird to me is how you're trivializing a murder as a temper tantrum. A normal kid can kill in the right circumstances too, but most of them aren't psychotic enough to actually try. And if they did it by accident, they'd probably be scarred for life. They wouldn't just shrug it off like it's no big deal.JewyB wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:03 amIt's weird to assume that the immediate reaction of any adult to a child throwing a tantrum would be to punch it in the face and knock it unconscious. "Yeah, I killed my brother, but I won. And now I'm stronger than Gohan! Alright! Best day ever!"
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Last time I checked, hitting a real life child throwing a tantrum over not getting their way is in no way the same thing as a knocking out a preteen who just finished destroying a planet and killing her brother with a smile on her face. People have to stop using "but shes a kid" as an excuse. Children are shown to be capable of doing horrible things all the time.JewyB wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:03 amIt's weird to assume that the immediate reaction of any adult to a child throwing a tantrum would be to punch it in the face and knock it unconscious. I dont care if Vegito is the strongest or not. When you have a maniac on the loose who just blew up a planet and would have kept going, youre not going to think about how to snap them out of it or calm them down. You're going for the KO at minimum. If Bra was anybody else she wouldve been dead. She's also a Super Saiyan, its not like an irl adult full power punching a irl toddler.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Well yeah, that's it - a Saiyan tantrum. A regular kid throwing a tantrum results in injuries and damaged property at worst. A Saiyan tantrum results in planets being destroyed. It has to be handled properly, and a KO is necessary - and on the galaxy-destroying battle maniac scale, pretty benign.JewyB wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 6:45 pmIts the equivalent of a saiyan tantrum. Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Also, this people speak one language: fight-go. They love it, they use it to bond, to solve silly issues, serious issues, when they are bored, to gain respect from their peers, to impress their elders, etc.
A chop on the neck or a KO punch is as light as they can get, it's not like Vegito went all Tyson on her and kept hitting her or mamed her. He just punched her lights out.
I mean it's DBM Bra we are talking about, not GT Bra.

Your applying human standards to a saiyan child. Bra acts in line with the saiyans we see in the series. Also she did have remorse for Goten, the writing just decided to immediately have her praise her power.ZeroNeonix wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:09 amWhat's weird to me is how you're trivializing a murder as a temper tantrum. You also act like she killed Goten on purpose and went oh well weakling. Learn to teleport.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
The weirdest thing about all this is that, i never once said Bra didn't deserve what happened, i jsut pointed out that an adult punching a child in the fact is child abuse, which its a really weird argument to make that it isn't just because the child is saiyan/powerful/grows up to be a psychopath. Its not even a moral issue i'm discussing, its an issue of semantics.
Salagir is literally setting it up that Vegettos abuse is what caused Bra to be the way she is, so, if you want to argue that Bra is an unforgivable monster that deserves to be punished this way, you have to accept that Vegetto is commiting this punishment.
My original point was "Bra is a terrible character written to be super cool, and the person she is being compared to for worst in story based mostly on her personality, is a character whose worst trait we have established is child abuse", and it's being turned into a "No i can punch a kids if i want to" argument when thats not even the point?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Where did she show remorse? Her only response to Vegito's words were "I got stronger than Gohan!" and then crying, not because she killed Goten, but because "waaah its not fair, its not my fault" like a typical brat when they get scolded. There's no remorse, especially considering she goes on to mock Goten throughout the tournament.miguelnuva1 wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 5:10 am Also she did have remorse for Goten, the writing just decided to immediately have her praise her power.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
According to Vegito, this wasn't a one-time thing, either. She apparently went berserk after her first Super Saiyan transformation. Then she mellowed out. But when she went Super Saiyan 2, she went berserk again. This has been a pattern for her. Bra isn't this way because of her parenting. She's just thirsty for power. That combined with her extreme narcissism is a dangerous combination. Let's not forget, she cut Gohan in half when he was completely defenseless not too long ago. The reason her Majin rampage stopped wasn't because of her compassion or guilt, but because her counterpart called her "passive."
When Vegito finally gets back and sees what she's done, and he decides to finally kill her, I'm on his side.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I dont hate the art but it doesnt really look like DB at all. Magikarp on Gohan's shirt is kinda funny tho.
Also, is this really the first side special we've gotten in the "canon" universe?

Mocking Goten later has nothing to do with this incident. Your right about the no remorse Mandela effect on my part.Dbzfan94 wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 11:10 amWhere did she show remorse? Kids mock their siblings all the time, saiyans mock by calling each weak. Goku and Vegeta made fun of their kids from time to time for the same reason.
She must show some form of an apology once Goten was revived or he would have mentioned it before.

Goku and Vegeta both acted worse with SS and SS2 turned peaceful Gohan bloodthirsty.ZeroNeonix wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:46 pm According to Vegito, this wasn't a one-time thing, either. She cut Gohan in half because the Majin charm brings out the worst in your character.
Bra is a problem because Vegetto didnt take the time to bring her up right and then he constantly throws his own tantrums.
How is Bra going to be better when he does borderline the same thing as a grown man?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
It's weird. It's like they have two completely different styles. One simplistic, cartoonist style for when characters are viewed from a distance, and one hyper realistic style when close up. It's almost like how in Ren and Stimpy, you'd occasionally get these gross close up shots with a ton of detail.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Never saw Ren and Stimpy, but the same feature was used in Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's laboratory on occasion. Seems to be something done in a bunch of 90's american cartoons. No clue if current shows make those gross, detailed close ups.ZeroNeonix wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 11:54 pm It's weird. It's like they have two completely different styles.
