There's no way they wrote something so elegant.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
This is certainly far better than the trash DBM has been pumping out recently, but this impact of this supposedly epic fight is lessened by the fact that Goku could've ended it in a second if he'd used SSJ3.

Goku and Vegeta aren't interested in a fast win, they want a great fight.TheGodfather93 wrote: Wed Nov 04, 2020 11:57 pmThis impact of this supposedly epic fight is lessened by the fact that Goku could've ended it in a second if he'd used SSJ3.

Ehh... But remember that when Vegeta found out that Goku had SS3 in his back pocket and chose not to use it in their battle in the Buu saga, he took offense to it. For Goku to not to use his most powerful form meant that he was holding back. The entire reason chose to join Babidi in the first place was that he always felt one step behind. The SS3 reveal to him was just salt in the wound.Matches Malone wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 12:43 amGoku and Vegeta aren't interested in a fast win, they want a great fight.TheGodfather93 wrote: Wed Nov 04, 2020 11:57 pmThis impact of this supposedly epic fight is lessened by the fact that Goku could've ended it in a second if he'd used SSJ3.
But the real reason we're not seeing SS3 Goku in this comic is probably that it's too hard to draw. lol. I mean, not even Toriyama wanted to use it much after its introduction, for that exact reason. In Super, we only saw it twice. Once in a short fight against Beerus, and once for a brief moment at the Tournament of Power. Nobody wants to draw it. lol

You forgot it beating Trunks in the anime and Toppo and Meerus fought it in the manga.ZeroNeonix wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 2:51 amEhh... When did SS3 Goku fight Trunks? And yeah, the manga is a separate thing. Toyotaro doesn't have to worry about animating SS3, and even he uses it sparingly.miguelnuva1 wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 3:10 amYou forgot it beating Trunks in the anime and Toppo and Meerus fought it in the manga.

When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

Gosh, this guy is such a fool. Also he manages to be a worse writer than Toyotaro (something I thought to be impossible after Super latest chapter)

Uh oh. This is actually getting interesting. Although we already know there's a way out, without the door... Still, best not to anger Mr. Popo.

If only the art was better, it would be the best DBM has been in quite some time.ZeroNeonix wrote: Sun Nov 08, 2020 11:06 pm Uh oh. This is actually getting interesting. Although we already know there's a way out, without the door... Still, best not to anger Mr. Popo.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
God I remember this part from the novel.
He attacks in the direction of pan to provoke Gohan like a huge asshole he shouldn't still be at this point in the timeline.
Goku is still stronger and a better fighter in the same form.
The vegeta wank in dBm is mad annoying, as is the implication he or they both later surpass Gohan with level 2 or something else.
Gohan has more potential then them and has it unlocked permanently. DBMs scaling is retarded.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
That's not how I interpret this scene at all, but I guess future pages will tell. It looks like Vegeta is stronger than Goku in SS2 form now, but it doesn't mean anything, because Goku still has a form higher than his. Goku doesn't want to use SS3 both because it would make the fight too easy and because his SS3 form is still imperfected, and it would leave him without any energy.TobyS wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:59 am God I remember this part from the novel.

Vegeta's solution is to find an opponent who can challenge both of them: Gohan. At this point, before Super Saiyan God, Gohan is the most powerful unfused warrior, if he taps into his hidden potential. Vegeta is not threatening Pan, but their only (as far as Gohan knows) exit. Vegeta probably doesn't actually intend to trap them all in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, but his moral ambiguity works to his advantage here. Gohan has to take him seriously. Think of like the time Vegeta threatened to destroy Sadala to get Cabba worked up. Even if Gohan doesn't remember how to use the power he had in the Buu saga, Vegeta's threat might force him to remember very quickly.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Read the Nov iirc Gohan gets genuinely mad at him and there were some wanky statements about how they could surpass him.ZeroNeonix wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:35 amThat's not how I interpret this scene at all, but I guess future pages will tell. Vegeta even refused to answer Gokus question about adult SS3 Gotenks being more powerful then them, I think phrased as "surpassing" them, when Gotenks was ALWAYS way stronger then them since he was a kid.
Forms are multipliers. If Vegeta is better in SS2 he's just more powerful and Goku just knows one thing he doesn't.
Vegeta had to go majin to maybe match Goku, Goku is just the better warrior/person/character.
Salagair thinks otherwise.
Ironically in the Super Manga they've made Vegeta a lot more LIKEABLE, so him nipping at Gokus heels is much more acceptable and also him calming down and being less of a dick actually makes it more plausible he's become the kind of guy who could train for his own non egotistical reasons and actually improve to that point of being about equal to Goku.

Just a couple of side stories and flashbacks are in so much as the order is different but overall no it's not.Dbzfan94 wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 5:50 pmThe novel is ahead??TobyS wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:59 am God I remember this part from the novel.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I was never against Gohan being in a permanent unlocked state. imho he could be the scholar and family man as he is, but when things go wrong, all his power can be brought up to the surface in an instant. Better than what happened in Super against Freeza.
